i've never left a casino thinking, "man, i brought WAY too much money with me. i wish i had brought about 25 big bets less", especially when we are only talking about a few hundred dollars.

i'd say just bring whatever you can bring. its hard for us to answer without knowing your play style anyways.

BTW, what is a "must move game"? I've heard that term a lot, but never knew what it meant.

Well in normal circumstances, a must move table is given to a newly formed table of a certain limit, and when the older tables of that same limit need a person to fill up, the person who spent the most time at the must move table must of course, move to the new table or leave that must move table entirely.

In this case, the pink chip game will be a MM to the 10/20 game, so if you are the person who spent the longest time in the pink chip game, you'll move to the 10/20 game if they need a person. At least that's how I believe it is.

If you normally play the lower limits you probably have not encountered it.

Example: table 1 is a 20-40 LHE game. it opened at 1pm. it was the first 20-40 game that opened that day. Then the poker room opens another 20-40 game on table 2. To protect table 1, all players on table 2 (in order on the 20-40 waiting list) will be moved to table 1 every time a player vacates their seat. This ensures that the players that started the first game will keep their game and not become short.

Not in this case. If there is a must move pink chip game it will fill the first pink chip game. 10-20 is on it's own.

To anyone who plays in the Pink Chip game tomorrow: please buy-in for an obscene amount of pink chips.

I would think 4 stacks of pink ($200) will be the most common buy in. Though coming in with two racks ($500) of pink is what I'll be doing. Balla!

The game will start around 2pm tomorrow

The game will be a time game at $5 PP/PHH

PLayers will earn $2 per hour in comps

The game will be played on table 14

There will be a must move game as long as there are (2) 10-20 LHE games in action.

Stan
Stan, this is why the Borgata is a great poker room. You listen to players but still keep a good overall perspective.

I hope the game is going on Saturday too.

Stan,

I just left Borg after staying for two nights. Will be back next Wednesday-Thursday (I work a strange week)...was it determined that the pink chip game would only go on weekends, or would it be possible to open it on a daily basis? I think at least on Wednesday when you've got a packed room (esp in the summer) for the big tournaments, you'd be able to fill at least one table...likely the mm as well. Please, please tell me it'll be open next Wednesday!

I sure hope that all the 2+2 folks will show up. I also hope that some other people would show up as well, or I'd get murdered tomorrow.

Can't promise, but we make sure to make the right decisions for the game to keep it strong as well as the 10-20.

Please raise your hand if you plan on playing pink chip this weekend!!!

I'm 85% sure I'll be playing on Saturday. Hoping to be there by 2, but it could be later in the afternoon.

I'd totally play Friday evening and Saturday if I could get a free poker room for the night.

I'll be there for the pink game on Saturday and Sunday.

Now that you can run the game, how will people know about it?
Will you announce the new game and try to solicit players?
Will you just wait for those of us from here to start a list?
Is it going to replace the 5/10 completely, and be suggested to those asking for it?

Is table 14 the table where you'd usually try to run 5/10, in the front section with 2/4 and 3/6 but closest to the TD podium before the big gap that bisects the room?
What other stuff am I not thinking about that goes into the behind the scenes stuff to start a new game?

THANKS!

FWIW, I am a semi-reg at the 2/5 tables, and will definitely dip my feet in the pink chip game when I am there. I would never otherwise play limit (tried 10-20 twice, proving to myself how rocky it could be), but am definitely looking forward to this for a change of pace. I remember seeing this game at the Trop, and always wanted to play (my br wasn't big enough back then).

Also, as an aside - it has been awesome having a mostly regular plo game running - either 1/2 or 2/5. Kudos to you Stan for running a stellar room.

See you guys at the table. Just look for the nl fish at the limit game - that's me.

As someone who plays 10/20 and 20/40 a few times a month, I support having a pink chip game as long as the 10/20 isn't adversely affected. It looks like Stan and co. have taken some precautions to make sure that doesn't happen, so I hope it works out. Hopefully some Taj and old school Trop regulars come out for it.

To quote an old disco song, 'let's hear it for the Stan'.

On a sad note, why am I going to Tunica this week and missing the PCG? Better run it twice (at least). Have fun y'all.
