I would def play the pink chip game as well. I loved when it went over at the Trop, if we can get this going as a regular game I might have to play it regularly.

OK here are my thoughts and concerns about the pick chip game. Years ago when the Trop had 10-20 they decided to try the pink chip game. Prior to pink chip they ran two games of 10-20 on the weekend. After starting the pink chip, it quicky killed the 10-20 game. I have the same fears that it will happen here. If i decide to run the pick chip game, there will be an understanding of when it will run and how many games. I might have to limit the pink chip to one game and one game only. We run two of three 10-20 now and i really do not want to hurt that game. Does everyone agree?

I agree to this. Two tables were one was a must move would also be cool. Would you just run this on the weekends or would you run it when there was interest all the time?

Stan,

The Trop had other problems when they had the 10/20's going. Firstly, the competition from the Borgata and the Taj, secondly, the Trop's geographic location being so far downbeach. I know I go to the Trop since it is a half mile walk from my apartment upbeach on the boardwalk. However, if I was driving into town from Brooklyn, the Borg is much easier access. Ditto for the Philly players who come to town to exclusively play poker. I would never consider driving downbeach to the Trop unless I had a room there or had a major tourney to play.

I believe a bigger problem with the limit games, especially the 10/20, is how tight those games have become. I notice that I won't get any action from most of those players unless they already have me dominated, since they are the last one's standing from the limit days. The weekend recreational players have all been swallowed up and spit out by those TAG's. If I hope to find a looser game, I have to move down in limit. The 10/20 game evloved this way due to the blind structure of the 10/20 being 1chip/2chips. This fact alone makes these games much less fun.

Now throw in a blind structure of 2 chips/3 chips, with a slightly lower bank roll requirement, and we are free wheeling again. Piles and piles of pink chips everwhere, throw in the good Borgata drinks, instead of that Trop Milwaukee's beast light, spread the word on twoplustwo, and you will produce a profit center. I know I will pull myself away from the beach and pokerstars to actually show up for an action packed live game.

I believe the Borgata has a sufficient player pool to attract and support both pink chip and 10/20 players so this game should prove to be a strong weekend event.

Just my $0.02...

Stan, fellow Borgata patrons...

What are your opinions on starting a game, at the Borgata, that is similar to the Trash Talk Tuesdays game at the Hard Rock in Vegas. According to the thread dedicated to that game, it has become wildly popular and generates some insane action and fun. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...3/index9.html.

For those unfamiliar with the format... the details are as follows...
**Bad Sportsmanship Encouraged
ornery dealers, slow rollers & grown men crying...
**Blinds: $2-$5NL
**Buy-in: $300-$3000
**Mandatory live straddle on the button (as a result plays more like $5-$10NL)
**Seven Deuce Bounty ($10/player to the winner)

Even if there were just one or two tables of this running on weekends, I think it'd be great to have. It would give those of us on the east coast a chance to escape our apparent nitty tight passive reputation. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27...-poker-549507/

Can't a player find this game going at the Taj 24/7?

Start an officially sanctioned trash talk at the table game and I am never playing live again...

This is a horrible idea IMO and I would never ever ever ever play in this game....in addition to that....

1) Straddle. Illegal in AC

2) Hammer bounty. Illegal in AC (AFAIK).

Please tell me this is a joke and I just didn't get it.

+1 on everything except the bolded part. The Trop is claiming it to be Miller Lite.

They can claim whatever they want. It tastes like the beast to me. Who knows? Maybe it is Miller Light. But how can you have a good time with light beer in a Casino? No wonder they were sold to Carl Icahn in a fire sale.

Carl, if you are reading this thread, can you get us real beer again?

Beast light is not noticeably different than Miller Lite especially when both come from a keg.

personally, i would love to see...

7.50/15
15/30
30/60
60/120
80/160

opting to play 30/60 instead of 15/30

if you did that it would not kill the 20/40 game i think most of us would play 30/60.

this is the best limit structure imo... i do love 20/40 but i also like 30/60.

I'd much rather play in a two chip three chip blind structured game as well.

I used to love playing the in the pink chip game at Trop, but I don't think it is wise for Borgata to spread a game so likely to cannibalize 10/20. They should just go back to spreading 6/12 instead of 5/10. Or maybe spread a pink-chip HOSE game.

I would also support changing the 10/20, 20/40, 40/80 structure to pink, 15/30, 30/60, but this seems awfully risky considering how depending those games are on long-term regulars. But if I was trying to open a competing room (e.g. at Pinnacle hypothetically), that is what I would do.

Definitely would work better, I feel. Plus it would dovetail with the games below it, starting at 2/4 and then 4/8 rather than what they're playing now, with both 2/4 and 3/6.

5/10 game with pink chips? Sorta kidding.
