Taking pictures of games in progress is prohibited unless you are doing some tourney blog sponsored by the Borg and have expressed written consent or something like that.

I played the PCG last night. Broke about even but let me tell you was it fun.

Stan what are your thoughts on running this as a full time thing. I know myself for one would become a regular at the game and probably play it 5 days a week come September. I know it was only the first night but I think it will def. gain some popularity, and I dont think it will have to big of an impact on 10/20

Thanks for setting everything up Stan had a blast.

This was the most action I have seen in limit poker in AC for a long time. Many hands that were four to ten players capped multiway action pre-flop. Mounds of chips just wagered in the middle of the table. Stacked racks of pink chips next to disorderly piled pink chips in the next seat. Nice quiet orderly game, fast paced. Great poker atmosphere.

Due to the 2 chip/3 chip blind structure, I believe a 15/30 game could get going...

Thanks for playing Al. i guess i had left before you got to the Borgata last night.

I hope everyone had a good time and thanks to all that played. Let's do it again today. We will call the game when we have enough names on the list.

The Borgata also has to get CCC approval before pictures are taken.

It was a great game. Played with some friends at 3/6 after (98% vpip ftw) and the stupid red chips ruin that game. Dealer spends 1/2 the time making change and the pots are tiny looking. Bleh.

I won a pot with a rivered set of queens that was 10 ways preflop, 6 ways to the turn and 4 way to the river in the pink chip game. Also won with A high call down, which was nice.

Posting from my G1, longer report to come.

I was just at the Borg and have a quick question. I wanted to buy into the 2/5 NL game, and usually I end up buying about $600-700 in chips from the cage for a 2/5 game; about $300 in red, and the rest in green -- then I can stuff a few greens in my pocket and reload when I'm below $500 without bothering anyone. This has worked pretty well in most places I play, but at the Borgata I was told that greens are only sold in stacks of $500. Why? It doesn't seem to make much sense to me; couldn't I just buy a stack of $500 then resell $300 back to the cage quickly? I'm all for rules that make sense, but I can't find any sense to this one.

When the line at the cashier is fifteen people long it goes much quicker if the cashier doesn't have to cut out uneven stacks of chips.

I do this too, but I just buy $700, with one stack of green and two stacks of red.

I played on the game when it first started just after 2 pm. It was awesome playing with the brand new pink chips. I played to support the two-chip three chip structure, as did a few others. I also think the 15/30 would be the best game going, but understand Stan's concerns. I played til dinner and while it was cool to meet some fellow 2+2ers, the game was not that juicy. I think 8 out of the first ten players were all 2+2ers, but as I left for dinner I could tell the game was loosening up quite a bit, as the makeup of the game changed significantly from those of us who started it. Early on, I don't think we had more than three people to the flop more than 3 or 4 times!

Great job by Stan and his staff for making it happen!

They're already pretty good games and you don't want to do anything to upset the regulars.
Not to mention that 15-30 and 30-60 with those blind structures cause bad players to lose money more quickly....good for the pros, probably bad for the room. This has been a hotly debated topic though. Paging Mason....lol.

Either way I would like to see the PCG stay. I would love to become a regular at this game and I believe 2 Big bets + an hour is more then sustainable. Have to go for now but will give Trip report later.

Were there people playing in the pink-chip game that were not 2+2ers?

I am gonna assume that the 2 guys taking 3 to the face with K4o were not members of 2+2.

Or were proof that being able to direct a web browser to this site does not imbue someone with poker expertise.

Borgata should start a $0.50/$1 NL game using pink chips

Many times the game will fill back up and we just seem to never add the stud back in as the action is just so much better at O8.

Example. Playing a full game last saturday. We had 5-7 people seeing flops for 3 and 4 bets. It was just a really sick game saturday night. Lots of terrible players winning as well. Guy who hardly folded a hand preflop bought in for 200 and cashed out over 1500. Game went until like 6:30am when the one really terrible player left and we were left 4 handed.

2 funny things from last weekend.
Flop comes 9 9 4

4 people see the turn for 3 bets. Sick action. 1 guy had Fours full, 2 others had a 9 and one guy was getting middled with a flush draw and drawing dead.

At 6:30am the really awful player gets up. Another player who was just as bad stands up and says "Well if he's leaving then i am outta here".

Sorry for the belated reply, thanks for the feedback.

When I've played the 10-20 2-way, er, 10-20 Omaha O.E., the stud part was clearly less popular as 2-3+ players often got up and took a break.

Not that I'm a huge stud fan, but the mixed game holds my interest longer.
(btw it's a shame the HOSE game didn't take off.)

Omaha H/L definitely has decent action, so you just have to hope the so-called "aggro-donks" (?) don't get any hot runs. (I have a couple of guesses as to who was the loose-action guy going from 200 to 1500, but I know naming names is inappropriate here.)

Just to let you know, we have started a pink chip Omaha H/L list today. I hope this will go as well. We do have a few names on the list so come on down if Omaha H/L is your game.

Stan, are you guys trying to get a regular 5-10 Omaha H/L (w/full kill) going? As no doubt you know, this has a smallish but devoted following at the Taj.

(P.S., Stan, thanks to you also for the clarification on the 10-20 O.E. listing)

We have had the game a couple of times but nothing to brag about. Maybe the pink omaha will take off because the pots will be huge. Just have to get the game one time to see.

I missed this hand, but I would agree. I folded an 87suited when I was the button and it was cappucino up my nostrils. Turns out, I missed that flop, so thank me nineinchal.

Thank me,
