I didn't have any trouble getting out of the garage Saturday night with only my Borgata card.

Random side note I forgot to post about. I stayed at the Borgata for 5 consecutive nights during the last series. Upon checking in, they placed a $750 hold on my credit card for a room deposit ($150 per night). It doesn't matter for me since I have a credit card, but how does this make any sense? I stayed in the one room during the entire stay, so why would the deposit be per night. Pretty sure I could do the same damage in one night as I could in five. Never seen this before, and could see it causing problems for someone who doesn't have a credit card.

When I've used my black card for free parking I've gotten a receipt to use for free elsewhere until 6am and had no issues. So Im sure it's no problem.
@2_5, done with the banter. Was trying to help but if you want to continue to insult my intelligence be my guest. I look forward to running in to you during my next trip to CT. Free unlimited parking there so it's not too confusing for me. Phew.

Yea this has happened to me. Kinda sick. Especially if you have to use a debit card and you bank isn't quick about releasing holds. You could end up having hundreds of dollar held up for a week for no logical reason.

This is one policy I would love to see changed. Using a debit card can be a real pain if you are there for multiple days. Depending on the bank you use you might have that money locked up for two weeks. I agree that $150 total would make more sense regardless of the number of nights you are staying.

I have BoA and they seemingly never take the money out. They have a hold out but it doesn't affect my available balance. I guess they just want to know you have the money available just in case.

I use Chase debit, and on my last stay the hold was released about an hour after checkout.

With BoA I just see a note in my account about the hold but my balance is never affected.

In the Spring Open, there is a tournament called "the double green chip bounty survivor tournament." I assume you get a bounty for knocking people out, but is it a survivor(flat payout to 10% or so) as well?

He is not talking about 10 handed games such as 1-2 NL. He is talking about 8 handed mixed games. It was never changed, some people were just talking the wrong time. 8 handed games such as stud have always been half time at 5 players.

It seems that empty chip racks are like gold are here. When I'm ready to leave, I find myself circling around the poker room for 10 minutes trying to find a rack. I check the high stakes podium, the cashier, the ledges around the room, but alas I can never find one. Due to the critical shortage of racks, I try to be sneaky when I first sit down and put my empty rack between the seat cushion and the back of the chair. However, people are on to my devious plot - as soon as I run to the bathroom, someone swoops in and steals the rack. This past weekend, as a last resort, I took one from the security guy who was doing a fill. Am I the only person who can't find empty racks? Is there a black market for chip racks in AC somewhere? Are there any tips and tricks to finding empty racks on a busy weekend?

lol nope, one of the biggest pains in the ass is trying to find racks. they literally are like crack cocaine in the hood.

WTF @ the empty racks thing. Go to the side window of the cage where you'll sometimes see security guards or employees stand, ask politely for a couple racks, and viola! Empty racks.

rapini's answer is the way to do it. but i also think it's annoying. particularly if you're at a table in the far corner (past the restrooms). be nicer to just grab the rack behind your seat rather than walk over, ask for a rack, walk back, get your chips, walk back and cash out.
