Zollie probably remembers more about the bands than I do, though. I generally just know the name and a few songs we played. If I'm lucky, I'll recall an album title or two.

Ikon pass holder in CO, I’ve skied with Donatello a few times and I can usually keep up with him. Would love to meet up.

You might have heard that today Blackhawk CO passed an ordinance to remove all caps on gaming limits, no more 2-100 spread limit poker.

Funny story about teh skiing. When I moved to Colorado, I figured I was required by state law to learn to ski. The thing is, I hate getting up super early in the morning to recreate, especially if I will have to drive dangerous snowy mountain roads in the dark.

So I found a slope that had a ski school and lit the trails. Got a lesson at noon, and hit the slopes after the lesson. Sadly, knowing no better, I chose Echo Mountain as it was cheap, close, and lit. I didn't think of the fact that as a north-facing slop it was prone to icing. Nor did I realize that until recently they had been a private ski-racing facility. Even if I had, I was only going to do the green trails, so NBD, right?

The lodge is in the middle of the mountain, rather than the bottom, so I skied out and onto the green run, making it my half-way down the mountain with only a few falls. Then I got on the lift to make a full run. On my way up the slope, they turned on the lights, and I realized that they didn't light the green trails, only the rock hard and slick-as-snot former race training run. IIRC, it was 19 falls to the bottom of the hill.

Then back onto the lifts to the top of the mountain to ski back down to the lodge. Somehow I made a wrong turn and ended up in the terrain park. And that is how I ripped my ski-suit and leg open running into a grinding rail.

Have not skied since.

Have always thought Blackhawk was strange. Regs wirkn together, other sketchy play-oddly the underground games were often more legit.

Garlick-that sounds much like the first day I tried to single plank-

my buddy, who has been on the snow since he could walk(Vermonter) spent the day laughing at my incompetent ass. I think I caught the front edge 6,000 times. Finally an instructor teaching a bunch of 4 yr olds had pity on me and taught me to make a teapot so I could get going quite a bit faster before catching an edge.

The following day there was not a part of my body that didn’t feel bruised (even my toes felt like Shaq had been standing on them all day)

I went back to 2 planks-snowboarding is for knuckle draggers

It was really weird before the limit went to 100. Imagine the shenanigans in a 5-5 limit game with 4 Hmong players!

I used to have designs on learning to snowboard but I watched my friend from law school fall at speed by catching a front edge and it looked like the worst thing ever. I don’t think he ever boarded again and I never ended up trying after seeing that.

The Turtleman is a fast SOB. I can generally see him ahead, but it gets sketch when I try to catch up. We were at Copper and he blasted through some stuff at speed and I figured my board would do it the same... I thought I was going to die when I hit it. I really had to learn how to slow down and ride my ride when I with him. I really want to get that a-hole on a dirt bike so I can give him some payback.

I hit somewhere in the 50’s riding with a buddy at Breck. I was pretty outside of my comfort zone. Sick thing was he passed me like I was standing still, smooth as butter. He was on a board and it was probably the fastest I’ve ever seen anyone ride.

Those limits going away are beautiful. Home games in town may take a hit, but we’ll see. As soon as the changes are made a casino trip is a sure thing. Literally haven’t been there for 3-4 years.

Were you there the night I flopped a set of Kings at cupcakes club on an AK3 board and dude went running QQ on me for quad Q’s? I know you’ve seen a ton of hands played there, but this was unique because I was on mega tilt and made the dealer count the damn cards as if I was going to catch someone cheating. Lol. What a dumbass request.

I love poker

Where else in a town like the Springs can you have an interaction with a leader of our future rulers like garlick and another night play with gypsies or shirtless rastas

2. I have pretty good downfield vision so I can see where they are poasted up in their speed traps, and am able to make some speed checking turns and dump significant speed if I feel like I might be pushing it

3. I have a shitload of experience skiing at high speeds. So my 60mph is very controlled and looks smooth in comparison to a lot of other peoples 50mph.

4. I dont push it when conditions are not right. Today we had a light dusting and there was fog. Did not go fast (54 mph). I couldnt see all of the contours of the hill plus it was super cold making me a bit tight. So I really did not let them run.
Do they write speeding tickets?

IF it's like most of the lolimit collusion I've seen, it lowered equity for the victim while ultimately raising his EV.
