I message him once or twice a year. Mainly about rowing - he’s left speed skiing behind but he does these crazy enduro events and regularly does marathons on the erg. I am quite partial to the erg as well albeit never that far

He was based in Canada but he’s moved to the US now. He’s a PhD who runs a research faculty for a university

Yeah but the snowboard rental boots are so much more comfortable to walk around in.

Cancelled my pass this year. I’m a weekend warrior and didn’t feel like fighting the crowds on top of rona. Little burnt out also tbh (the drive sux). When my son starts showing an interest I’ll probably get back on the wagon. We have been racing BMX and riding dirt bikes, and honestly I’m content with that life. Little dude has podium’d a few races and hopefully next year he goes bigger.

Like Jack though... I’ll buy a day pass whenever if you make it this way. I’m game for that.

Forgot to ask, what made you come back west? Thought FL was your spot?

Ace - That is ossum yer kid is kickin such ass at the dirt bikin. How big is he and what is he riding? Total bummer about not skiing this season but more than understandable with everything going on. Also so far you aint missing jackshit.

I am a mountain man. I have spent moast of my life in the mountains. When my daughter graduated high skewl she went to college in NYC, I was in vegas and do not particularly care for it and since she was in NYC I had nothing holding me in LV (I was commuting between LV and Utah to hang with my kid). Still needed to make $ and my pal owns the hanggliding joint AND Tampa Hard rock was there for the gambool...I knew it was not permanent but it lasted a little longer than I wanted. I have been trying to get back west for the last couple o seasons and life kept getting in the way. Finally made it happen and I could not be happier.

Buy a 1 or 2 gang new work electrical box. Install it in a wall, preferably somewhere where it’s unlikely someone tries to use it (not because it’s dangerous, just because you don’t want people knowing about it) Buy a fake outlet cover. Now you have a pretty innocuous hiding spot for $$$

If you’re really worried someone could find that, then just buy a real outlet and don’t attach any electrical to it. You’ll lose about 1/2 the space in the box but people would just think the outlet is blown

Also youtube has a lot about this. Most are going to be geared towards stopping someone from finding something in like 5-10 minutes of being in the house, not sure if that applies to your situation.
