I liked the last episode minus the stupid sappy blond sister and the terrrrrrrrrrrribad CGI explosion. Cant wait for next season, but god do i hope there's waaaay more badassness

Sick episode.

Only thing I'm slightly disappointed by was that I was expecting the final scene of the season to be Merle scaling the Eiffel Tower with 1 hand while punching zombies to a 1000 foot death with his cauterized stump.

Seeing to what level the writers of tv show have modified the source material to the show's detriment , I don't think there's much chance of the show improving much for next season.

If writers want to create something original , they should write an original screenplay , don't write a screenplay based on a comic book and try to improve it. If you want to cash in on an existing fan base , don't alienate them completely by tinkering the source material.

I was really impressed with the original episode. It was really epic. I didn't like where they took the show after that tho. However, I'm sure they'll come up with someone decent for season 2 and I'll be back watching again.

good thing this writing staff got Darryl's ax, b/c man that was an overhyped 6 episodes. half of the time was wasted on characters i couldnt give a rat's ass about. I understand its a character driven show, but less shocked face closeups and more geeks.

did anyone know the black woman's name, or care that she stuck around? arent we supposed to care about that character? also, when TBone(?) was trying to coax her to leave, was i the only one thinking "hold up, is that his wife?" am i just secretly racist? Ha, nah i dont keep that a secret... but anyway, terrible writing

This show should have ended in the 2nd episode when the dude was under the tank and getting ready to blow his brains out. Instead of seeing the tank opening, he shoulda just killed himself. It was all down hill from there.

Yes you should. In it they actually develop characters without taking away from all the zombie mayhem , of which there is a lot. And it's all evenly paced as well.

The tv show is such a letdown on so many levels. Even if I hadn't read the comic books I don't think I'd even be close to satisfied with what we've gotten so far from a show about a zombie apocalypse.

Black dude and son needs to return. The grenade was so obviously coming back in the story that there was no need to make it so ******ed. Im pretty sure the black chick is the black guys wife from how they embraced after the return in ep 3 or 4, but i literally wouldnt bank on it they developed her so much - im not even sure she had a name. But the icing was the black dude banging the window with a chair after two of them just went animal on it with ****ing fireaxes.

They have a few months to get their **** together. The show has the makings to be great (see ep 1) but they have let themselves down with what it circled down into.

This season had 4 major storylines over multiple eps:

1, black guy and son inc the fact they went back for the radio to contact them. Unknown ending.
2, redneck brother who may still be alive but they just gave up looking for him. Unknown ending, though he may have stolen a van.
3, helicopter from ep 1. Unknown ending though it is kinda implied the CDC guy whispered something about it.
4, CDC. All that effort for a powerpoint presentation on someone becoming a zombie.

I guess you can forgive them not exploring this particularly well because its a short season (or as we Brits call it, an standard length series). But there were lots of elements in play, lots of jumping around in focus and some paper thin character development. A zombie apocalypse show should not be hard to conceptualise and yet they dont really know what they want to get out of the show but it has potential.

Will i watch S2, sure. Will i demand better quality, **** yeah. One could easily argue they get more viewers than they deserve and have let those same viewers down with what they have produced, but lets chalk it up to teething problems for now and see what happens i guess.
