Meh, only seen an ep of CYE & thought it was pretty awful tbh (despite loving Seinfeld) & I never found AD to be that funny (maybe 1-2 laughs per ep, but not much more), but to each their own. 30 Rock over the rest of those shows all day for me.

Curb is incredible, so start there, then go to AD.

Is Party Down good, great, or just mediocre? Some people seem to love it, but I rarely see it mentioned anywhere as a "must watch" show.

I would say Arrested Development first. You could knock out Party Down before CYE since there are only 16 current episodes, there will be 4 more once the 2nd season finishes in the next 4 weeks.

I think I said it in here before, but I thought Community was awful (watched 1 or 2 eps & no more). Curious as to whether you'll like it azan, as our dislike lists are somewhat similar (AD, Curb, True Blood, The Office).

What should i expect with CYE in regards to how fast i will be hooked?
Seen 4 episodes so far and im not loving it yet.

Is it hard to get into? I know with some previous shows (trailer park boys for example) i had to watch the whole first season before i "got it".

The first half of the first season was ok, then it was just lol terrible.

JStunna, if you like 30 rock I would get at least halfway through the 1st season of Community before you give up on it, it has become better than 30 rock has been as of late imo (although the 1st season of 30 was probably one of the best seasons of a comedy show ever).

I just watched the first to eps of Mad Men and am not sure if it's for me, the production quality and writing is top notch though. Should I stick with it or go with : Lost, Deadwood, The Shield, or SOA, or something else awesome that I'm overlooking?

Favs so far: Sopranos, Wire, Breaking Bad, 30 Rock, Community, HIMYM

Hmm, maybe I'll give it another shot, but when I watched the first 1-2 eps, I remember it being not bad, but unwatchable. Flip a coin between The Shield and SoA.

Lets talk summer TV shows. Most of them are just DVR worthy and then watch when you have time.

Current plan:

DVR:
Burn Notice (decent popcorn action tv)
Warehouse 13 (corny but really good overall)
Merlin (not great but i'm a sucker for this kind of show)
True Blood (watched S2 in on demand, this is an 'ok')

Watched a few ep's of last year and will not watch again / do not recommend:
royal pains

Summer shows I don't watch but know about:
Eureka

Anything else I should watch? Anything new? Previews for the gates look really bad and dumb.

One new show I might check out is Haven:

HBO has True Blood (June 13), Entourage (June 27), and Hung (June 27). Entourage is bad but it's still the quickest 25 minutes on tv. Hung wasn't great but hopefully it'll get better.

Summer is good for DVDs. I plan to catch up on Sons of Anarchy, Chuck, and maybe Homicide.
