Shows that are on TV now that I love or shows I recently finished for reference...

Lost
Sons Of Anarchy
Six Feet Under
Community
30 Rock
True Blood
Mad Men
Never seeing an ep of It's Always Sunny is a much bigger crime than never seeing Breaking Bad imo.

Do you have to be GOS to enjoy: Glee and True Blood? Both seem pretty gay IMO

You can safely watch True Blood.

True Blood is alternately very awesome and very aggravating. You could probably edit down season 1 and 2 to a single season that would be a contender for GOAT (it wouldn't be, but you could talk about it).

It's nothing like that Twilight crap.

Season 2 gets crazy and the werewolves seem to be of Twilight style which is pretty disappointing. Ill have to try season 3 and see before I give up. Im not really hooked from S1 and S2 to keep going.

Question about Weeds (minor spoilers through start of season 3):

Spoiler:
I thought the first couple seasons were kinda interesting but the first couple eps of season 3 have been really, really terrible. Does it get better, either in this season or seasons 4+? The entire U-turn plotline is so contrived and terrible and the descriptions of future eps of the season seem to be saying that they're all gonna be like "scene A: outdoors. u-turn appears at nancy's house. 'BITCH WHERE MY MONEY' scene b: interior. nancy's house. nancy crying in living room 'WAT AM I GONNA DOOOOOO'" and I really don't know if I can tolerate this **** dragging out for a whole season.

Spoiler:
I dug the U-Turn plot just cause of how goofy U-Turn is. There are some big pot changes throughout season 3 which make it better. #4 the show takes a completely different turn and then again in season 5. I didn't like where it went, but the finale for #5 made me want to at least tune in for the first couple of episodes. If you only thought 1 and 2 were interesting, and that 3 sucks, I doubt you'll like 4 and 5.

You liked it?

Spoiler:
I just can't stand so many things about this scenario. Nancy and Conrad "owe" him not because he actually paid for anything, but because he tried to steal something that isn't actually worth anything and now he wants something in return for, um, not killing them? Silas really thought it was a good idea to steal all the weed and hold his mom hostage? Celia really dumped half a mil's worth of weed in the ****ing pool?

Doug is the only likable person on the show. And Nancy is really hot but her character puts me on lifetilt sometimes.

I didn't really like it, no.

Edit: What I meant to say is that if you don't like 3, 4 and 5 are very similar.

S3 is decent, but it quickly becomes a train wreck after that. If you already think S3 is terrible, you should probably just give up now tbh. It sure as hell doesn't get better as it continues, and I strongly considered just giving up on it (which I almost never do) mid-way through S5.

Only show I can think of that's not on your list is Californication (which I thought was pretty funny).

It's easier to see an episode of It's Always Sunny, because Breaking Bad is much more of a commitment, but BB is a superior show

I was sold huge on Californication after the pilot, but it went downhill as quick as the 2nd episode. It's still enjoyable in an Entourage way, but not much else. I'll still watch just because of the girls in it. Boobs I've always wanted to see and new boobs that I get to see is never a bad thing. It's a better show then that, but I have no attachment to it really.

Ugh, no. I thought he was the worst. He has a massive ego and insecurity complex (like every writer ever), he's a completely self-absorbed whiny bitch, and he still inexplicably gets laid all the time. Am I supposed to sympathize with him or something?

All I could think of when I saw it was, "Wow, these people are a bunch of mean, shallow, L.A. pieces of ****".

I don't like Entourage either, for the record. And if I want to see boobs, the Internet is full of them.

Just finished all four seasons of The 4400. Show is so great, thx for the recommendation.

I was actually happy with the ending to S04 as it closed all the major plot threads but left things open. Ill have to start the books at some point.

It's not that I hate Duchovny, it's that I hate his character, and every single character on that show. My experience with fiction writers is that they are an incredibly egotistical, neurotic, insecure, and self-absorbed bunch. What I know about Hollywood is that most if its people are mean-spirited, self-serving, and backstabbing. The show confirms my suspicions about them, and what happens when you combine the two-- you get a group of thoroughly unlikeable people.

Who are all, of course, inexplicably getting laid all the time, so I guess it's titillating or something. But I can't think of a single character I saw on that show who should ever be allowed to breed.
