Bent is being treated as a burn off, and it is getting canceled. Only 6 episodes will air, so next week will be its last week.

Watched the trailer on youtube, looks pretty terrible. No way I'm watching a full episode when the trailer is that bad.

Everyone except me, who has posted in this thread, about Bent, likes it. Take that for whatever it's worth. I thought the show was pretty terrible, and I couldn't continue past the second episode. I generally give nearly every sitcom I have ever watched a minimum of four episodes, and usually six. I thought the show was fully formed, and that it was obvious where it was going. That's why I felt it wasn't a mistake to quit it after two episodes.

It's getting canceled, due to lack of viewership (it is the lowest rated new scripted show, period, on network TV). The Firm, with its 0.3 in the 18-49 demo, last night, is officially the lowest rated show currently airing new episodes on network TV (NBC is contractually obligated to run all 22), but even it had higher ratings than Bent when it was airing on Thursday. The Firm was done when it initially aired, Bent was cremated.

Despite our disagreement on Grimm (let me know if it's good yet, pls), I usually weight your opinion much more than the average poster. After watching the Bent trailer and reading your opinion that it's terrible, that's good enough for me to stay away.

I almost didn't make it through the trailer.

Think it was you that recommended Justified in another thread (BB? TWD?), have been enjoying that. Dewey Crowe may be my favorite TV character at the moment.

"These are the end times for Dewey Crowe!" LOL

I still think Grimm is quite entertaining every week, and they've started to add more mythology, which I think was a few people's problem in the Grimm thread, that hasn't been bumped, in awhile. It's better than a lot of stuff on network TV, this season, so it's one of my easier watches. I also think it's one of the best looking shows on TV, right now, which really makes it easy for me to watch. If it doesn't get EMMY nominations for Cinematography and Production Design, I'll actually be pretty pissed.

I didn't recommend Justified (someone recommended it to me in a thread you might have been reading, Cry Me A River, who has very good taste from what I've read), so you could have me confused slightly with someone else. I bought the first two seasons of Justified, based on Cry's recommendation, but still haven't had a chance to watch it, yet. I'm looking forward to it, though.

Besides being fun, light and quick paced, I think the main reason why I like Bent is because of all the other terrible comedy shows that are out right now. Everything on cbs is garbage. Parks n Rec has been on a long break so that leaves horrible shows like Whitney, The Office, Chelsea, and even Community(imo it has been bad since it's been back). When I see Bent right now as maybe a 6-7/10 right now because of the quality of other comedy shows out, it might be a 4-5/10 with a semi decent lineup of other shows to watch.

That line of thinking isn't bad, although I think 2 Broke Girls is acceptable as a modern sitcom on CBS, and I kind of like some of the qualities of Rob, though it's already finished its short season.

When comparing Bent to a lot of what's out there, I can see why you'd think it's better than it really is. Yes, I agree it's a lot better than Whitney, but it's not much better, or even necessarily as good as Chelsea, The Office is certainly better than Bent, and I don't watch Community, so I can't comment on that.

If we're basing it out of 10, I would give it a 4, and that's not enough for me to watch it. In my own "rankings", I would put it as an it's not going to change your life whether you miss it or see it, which is my ranking below on the bad side of average (which is where I have just about every sitcom that I watch on the air, today, except for New Girl, which I haven't seen in quite awhile).

The show has a thread on here. Search for it so we can move the discussion there. Haven't watched last nights, but will be shortly. It's a damn fun show.

i almost wrote off Dont Trust the B--- in Apt23 due to the title, but decided to watch based solely on her being Jessie's gf; id advise others to do the same. pilot + 1 are on hulu and the show is actually really funny.

Has anyone seen "Impractical Jokers"? Basically a show where 4 guys have to do embarrassing dares they make up for each other. It's pretty damn funny, surprised I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

Impractical Jokers is 1 of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time.

I've been watching it since it premiered. I'd love to see some of the out takes or behind the scenes stuff just to see how many times the 4 guys get threatened or assaulted.

I liked dont trust the bitch. No idea if the concept will carry forward but the characters are interesting and it has a slightly different take on the pretty tired and cliche odd couple concept that could work out.

Also the VDB writing must be well done cos i dont think ive ever seen him in anything (never watched DC) and yet i laughed at a few of his bits.
