Mentalist, one of my guilty pleasures, finished up with a happy ending. Approved.

I'm hesitantly saying that I think Backstrom is probably the best new network TV show I've seen this season. It has the perfect amount of edge, and the cast's chemistry is great. The cases are also a slight cut above typical network procedurals. There are a few slightly questionable aspects, but overall it's a very entertaining watch every week. Too bad it ain't gonna make it.

Togetherness was interesting again. Bald guy finally fed up being Amanda Peete's bitch. Now I hope Duplass wakes up and divorces the fat chick before she cheats on him.

The Slap seems to be trying to be a Thirtysomething for the 2010s. I'm still on its side.

Didn't see a thread for it, anyone watch How to get Away with Murder? I didn't think it was that great a show, just wanted to see how the season ended.

I'm confused about the timeline of the very end. Regarding who found the new dead body and when.

I dropped it the episode after the mid-season finale. I read the finale synopsis on AVClub and left it at that. Interesting reveal, and I guess a "cool" cliffhanger for S2. But I won't be picking it back up. I'm completely free and clear of Shonda-land. I only ever watched Scandal and HTGAWM, but they're both out of the rotation completely.

I was planning on dropping HTGAWM after the mid-season finale, and wish I had after the season finale. I won't be back for season 2. Put any questions you have in spoilers and I can probably answer them.

Spoiler:
Maybe we're just not supposed to know any of this yet.

I'm just confused at the end, when annalise is comforting wes then he leaves and annalise goes down the stairs (she already knows about the body right?) Why is Frank already down there?

Spoiler:
Yeah, she knows it's there. Frank is her fixer, and she called him in to figure out what to do. Frank thinks she did it. She thinks he did it (they both claim not to). Wes probably did it, but who knows? It could have been anyone, and they're going to make the whole season 2 based on that. I am not interested.

HTGAWM was enjoyable enough if not terribly believable, but I can't see how they can come up with enough story to make it five or so seasons. I mean how can she teach a law class, take on clients, have her law students help with the cases, help them cover up a murder, and save the client of the week while her and her students and staff all also deal with their own individual issues. It's all a bit much. I watched the season finale hoping it would satisfy me, but it ended up feeling rushed.

Spoiler:
It's like a horror movie. At the end of the season kill another person off, and go ahead with whatever remaining storylines there are. This is the type of show that will take place across a single year for five seasons.

I finished last season of Greys Anatomy and Scandal but haven't watched any of this season. Few reasons why but the main reason why is because with new stuff I felt I needed to drop a few things. I started to get tired of Scandal when it seemed even more people were watching. I ended up finishing all of HTGAWM but as of right now don't plan to watch season 2. Only finished season one because I don't like to quit stuff and maybe some day down the row when Netflix has season 2 its easy to remember where I left of at.

Spoiler:
Could of been Laurel since she pretty much told Frank to kill her.

I agree that's plausible. I think it's either Bonnie or Laurel, but I just don't care enough to get to season 2. Everything was set up for Bonnie to be Lila's killer, so their direction was pretty off. There was no reason for her character to be brought back after being fired other than for that purpose.

Anyone watching the jinx? Pretty chilling at the end of the last episode when they left for a break and he didn't realize he was still on camera/mic'd up.

Absolutely fascinating to watch. He has such calm and detachment when talking about his past.

Yes, it is pretty weak, but there are still several other people on the show we have not seen so I will give it a few more episodes.

Where are all the dead bodies?? lol

Battle Creek was terrible. I expected way more from a Vince Gilligan show. Bosch is much better.

It was nice to see Dewey Crowe from Justified as detective Niblet.
