I watched the 1st Fortitude but I doubt I'll watch more. It all seemed very out of sync somehow and kinda B movie low rent. Maybe they were going for that. I wanted to like it, it's sure high concept. But it's no Northern Exposure, or The Thing for that matter.

Ep 3 and 4 of Fresh Off The Boat solidified that it's a freaking great show!!

I just watched the pilot and came here to rave. It charmed the hell outta me.

3 and 4 are even better then those first 2. Feel-good laughs all over the damn place!!

Unfortunate title if this is as good as you guys are saying. I can't be the only one who would just assume this is some Tim Allen type garbage.

It was originally going to be called Far East Orlando, but the Creator lobbied on Twitter to have it be named after his book the show's based on. So, any blame for the title squarely goes on him.

For the record "Fresh Off The Boat" is one thing, but FOB is a racial slur almost on par with the N-word. I have quite a few friends who are... that... and said it's pretty nasty to hear. That is why I initially tuned in. I knew it wouldn't be racy and controversial, but it's a lot of fun.

Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show is a tragedy.

I thought the third episode was only okay, but liked the 4th one quite a bit, even though I saw a very similar episode of The McCarthys earlier this season.

It was nice seeing Lester's wife come back to life.

I've not had the chance to watch any Fresh Off the Boat yet, but if you enjoy food/travel style shows, the guy whose book it is based on, Eddie Huang, has a cool YT series.

in the third ep. when the kid says to the hottie "go on girl taste the rainbow" i nearly died of laughter.

The Slap has the worst name for a show ever but it was actually pretty decent and not what I expected.

I liked this a lot and am completely on board. great cast, talent to spare. I'm not sure about this narration thing though, a little odd.

I just stumbled across finding out that a show called Bosch is now out on Amazon Prime. I haven't seen it yet, so I can't comment on its quality. However, it's based on an A+ character by a writer named Michael Connelly. It stars Titus Welliver. When I have more time I'll definitely be checking it out. It's going to be a cop show of some sort, but regardless of how procedurally driven it is, it's a rich character in the novels (they take place in L.A.). When reading it, I definitely thought it would be a good TV adaptation property, but it doesn't change how surprised I am that there's actually a show now. It might hold some appeal for some people here, though I know nothing more about it than what I said above.
