*** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Hi all. Some of you may know me from the previous Bodog/Bovada threads under the username Ice_W0lf. I am now here to act as the liaison between the Bodog Network and you, the players. I will have several responsibilities here at 2+2.

The first, and to me the most important, is to make sure that your opinions are heard by those making the decisions at the Bodog Network. As someone that plays at Bovada, I am well aware of some of the problems that players have with the software and over the next bit of time I hope to slowly make the network aware of the problems and work with them on how to fix these issues.

My second responsibility is to act as a promoter for the network as a whole. I do not do anything that is specific to Bovada, the Bodog.co.uk site, or any other part of the network. Any information I pass along is for the network as a whole, things such as the on-going Black Diamond Poker Open.

Now to keep this thread on track, I can let you know that I have absolutely nothing to do with anything on the cashier side of the network, as these are handled by the individual operators and sites.. If something is a very wide issue, I will inquire about it but outside of that, it really is not in my area and you will be directed to email your site about it.

Now to give you an idea of where this thread is headed, first I’d like to promote the Black Diamond Poker Open that is underway. It is a series of 52 events, 26 Contender Events with buyins ranging from $3.30 to the $55 $25,000 guaranteed Main Event, and 26 Championship Events with buyins ranging from $33 to the $450 $250,000 guaranteed Main Event. This series has a range of games including nlhe, lhe, plhe, plo, 7 card stud, and LO8.

One change that I am currently working on, one that I think will be welcomed in this thread, is making sure I know what changes there are when an update happens. Within a day or so of an update, I’m hoping to be able to make a post about what changes there were to the client or even just a simple “an update to the backend of the software” post.

*Also please note that I would like to keep this process as civil as possible. I know there will be times where some people will not be happy.. and even pissed off.. with things I post and venting that frustration is fine. However, please let’s try to keep this thread as attack free as possible and instead focus on how to making Bodog even better. As someone that plays on the Bodog Network nearly every day, I want to make sure that you guys are getting the best experience out of the network and keeping this thread civil will certainly go a long way toward that.

So that’s my intro… I’ll be here to try to answer as many questions as I can and to try and help us (the player pool) as best as I can.

- Ice_w0lf is now acting as the liaison between players and the network
- Doesn't work specifically for any individual site
- Doesn't have anything to do with cashouts/deposits
- Let's keep it civil

Your first mission is:

Problem: When chatting on one table - and your turn to act on a different table - you press enter to send your chat and the unfortunate event of you minraising on a different table occurs.

This can be catastrophic for NL and PL players as the bet you are minraising may be huge.

This has costs me a ton of money.

Fix: Change the ENTER key as the key for raising!

Preferences > Game Play Settings > Check "Disable Enter to Bet"

I must not of seen it as I originally had the program **** in my face when i tried to uncheck the show game play animation after the last major software change. I didn't look at all options as I didn't want to click something and make it go boom.

Does Bovada and Bodog.uk have the same promotions?

1. Can you have the preaction keys fixed, please? The "Fold" button and "Check/Fold" button frequently don't work, which can cause subsequent timeouts and in general slows the games down.
2. Can you have a 2nd sound notifying the player that the action is on him?
A second louder sound say 10 seconds before he times out would be helpful.
I sometimes don't even here the little beep at one table when I'm concentrating on action at a second table.

None that I am aware of... but I'm guessing that I won't know about new promos until they are announced.

As far as I know, they are the same... but I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they have different promos.

I will make sure suggestions are passed along.

I apologize if I lack answers to some of your guys questions at this point.. I just got the word that I could start a few hours ago.

Over the next few days (after irl stuff calms down a bit) I plan on getting an idea of what kinds of things people would like to see changed in the client. My plan is to break each post into different sections ( to keep it more organized). First I'll ask about the client as a whole, then I'll move into mtts, sngs, cash games, the website.. and then anything else as a bit of a catch-all that may have been missed. With this, please note that I will definitely fight for the ideas that people suggest.. as, like I said, I play on this site every day myself.. but not everything will make it for one reason or another and some things will eventually make it but will take some time to implement.

Bringing back points to cash would be nice. We should have more options for poker points.

also their should be point tables where you can bet your points just like you bet cash at cash tables.

More omaha hi low tournaments bigger ones and rebuys

Ok there's one big issue that really needs to be addressed. The major issue that led up to Justin quitting was the blatant lies that he was being fed by Bodog. They lied time and time again, he quit and they abandoned the poker community. What assurances can you make as the new rep that you won't be handed line after line of bull**** like he was?

I won't even sign this post, hopefully showing that this is a serious issue.
