FYI. 15% deposit bonus today only
03-12-2012 , 02:05 PM
I think that's only on bovada or whatever the US facing site is called.

I would call customer service to ask them but if I am not mistaken cause it has been a while I believe I had to deposit $100 3x to get Western Union as my primary option.

As far as what I can do? Obviously I can only pass along the information that I am given, but I try to be very thorough before passing along any of that information. I make sure that everything makes sense to me and that I convey it to you clearly.

If you have any questions beyond that, you can always send me a pm.
For what its worth, I don't feel like I was ever intentionally mislead by the people at Bodog, it was a miscommunication between two people who do not intricately know programming. Myself and the admin I spoke with about the new software basically miscommunicated how something was going to be integrated.

The main reason I left was I have another career that was picking up and taking up more and more of my time and post anon tables the rep position created more frustration in my life than I wanted to handle in the little time I had to do it each day so I didn't think I could effectively do the job anymore and stepped down.

I am happy that some of the changes that were being discussed in house after the anon tables updates are taking place like all cards being available 24 hours after the session. For all the flack the company takes they are charting a new path, which can be rocky. You have a good rep now in this thread and I hope positive changes continue to be implemented and it happens civilly here, haha. Good luck Wolf, I'm glad you got a chance here as its something you definitely deserved.

As for the talk of the rep position being intentionally lied to I don't think its something that anyone needs to worry about as I don't think its something that ever happened in my tenure.

I spoke with support about this recently, the rep over the phone told me it would take two deposits. I said, I hope not because I'm only going to do it once. She said it might work and I MIGHT be able to withdraw using MoneyGram. Apparently, they use MoneyGram. I don't know why I can't just request one. I deposit via credit card not check. Fix this Bovada, other sites send them to anyone who wants them.

I found another issue to complain about. I've been having trouble with my internet connection today. When I was playing at 2 cash tables, my internet went south for about 1 minute. When I was able to reconnect, I found that I had been removed from both tables AND I could not get back on due to a 5 minute delay instituted to ostensibly prevent ratholing. However, I was actually losing money on one of the tables and still was subject to the 5-minute rule.

1)This is obviously a poor implementation of the rule to prevent ratholing, and
2) I shouldn't have been taken off of the tables in the first place!

STT HU Rematch / Same Game Functionality – Players will now have the ability to have rematches in hu sngs and today players will have the option to register for the next stt that is loading of the same type after busting or winning their current game.

Wait Time to rejoin Cash Table – In order to combat the rat-holing that was previously possible, players will now have to wait 5 minutes before being able to return to a table. This also prevents a player from standing up and sitting right back down and erasing any notes you may take on the player.

New Game Transactions Page – This page, found under account > hand history > game transactions, has been revamped so that it is easier to see your separate game transactions.

Also, as some of you have already noticed, your lobby filter choices will be remembered after you close the client.
Any initial feedback on these items?

Also, thanks Justin for popping into the thread and thank you for the well wishes.

Okay..as promised (although a day late), I’m going to get your guys input on what kind of things you’d like to see changed or implemented into the software. As I have mentioned several times before.. I will pass these suggestions along but that by no means guarantees any or all of them will be implemented... and those that are, won't be implemented right away.

For this first post, we’ll start with cash games. So let’s hear your ideas, talk them out, and decide what ideas you'd most like to see:

So far we have:

-Change the table so that you can sit back down w/in 5 min with same stack
-Min buyin raised to 50bb
-Tables popping to the front
-Wait for bb option
-Slider improvements
-Order of the tables in the lobby when sorting
-Pre-action buttons not working correctly
-Adding on chips is buggy
-Auto-post blinds being unclicked at times

Remember this is cash games only... I'll be doing other areas (mtts, sngs, client) in the next couple of weeks.

After 4 or 5 days I'll combine the ideas and pass them along.. and then make a new, similar post for the next aspect.

I also just want to reiterate that I have nothing to do with anything involving the cashier side of the site... nor do I have anything with any one specific site on the network (outside of playing at Bovada). However, you guys are of course welcome to use this thread to talk about whatever site you are playing on.

And something else I've got in my head.. I try to keep the Bodog_Ice and Ice_w0lf accounts separate on here... so while I'm signed in everyday as ice_w0lf.. and checking this thread.. I might go a few days without signing on as Bodog_Ice.. so if you pm me on this sn and I don't get back to you in a day or two, please feel free to send a quick pm to my other sn saying you've pm'd me on the bodog_ice account.

I'm just going to reiterate that implementing anything new before fixing the bugs and issues that have been there since day 1 of this release is completely irresponsible from a company that writes software.

So my vote is fix the problems first, then worry about adding new things. If they don't know what needs to be fixed by now then we're all screwed.

Isn't tables popping to front already an option, but it doesn't work?

how about a filter for 6 max and 9 max

+1 and see my recent post above for other problems to fix.

LOL I saw that. That's harsh. A few weeks ago I was playing joeyrulesall HU4ROLLZ and the same sort of thing happened. First I get disconnected and it drops me from the table. Then a while later not only do we both get disconnected, but it was at least 30 minutes before it would let me log back on. This was before their 5 minute update too.

In before trangers asks me to check my firewall.

50bb min buy in is by far the most important thing imo

+1 Id really like this to be added

"FYI. 15% deposit bonus today only"

That's convienent. the day before they shut down cashout options in MD and maybe a couple other states.

The lobby refreshes have been better. I'd like to see a better way of tiling the tables. Ideally, we could customize a layout for 2 tables, 4 tables etc. so we can click on that instead of one of options for tile or cascade.

Is there a specific reason for allowing only 4 tables of sng's and cash at the same time but allowing unlimited tournament tables? This is confusing.

Can Bovada clear up what happened today with states? No more Maryland players, any other states affected today?

Yes, please! And any other info regarding all the rumors swirling on twitter and other forums regarding NY, WA and UT

It seems NY players no longer have WU as an option in their cashier, and they already could not get checks in the state.....so they effectively are shutout financially?

I know the rep said he has nothing to do with that side of operations, but maybe Ice can ask the higher ups for some info regarding the MD lockout?

In before they tell us our money is safe and their top priority is returning the money of the affected players.

FWIW my sources tell me today's news only affects MD and no other states. even for new players. I would just like some sort of statement by Bovada.

I talked to the rep and asked him "well if I move to washington dc could i then play at bovada" and the rep said "no, because washington is one of the states affected." obviously i meant DC, and upon repeating DC she gave the same answer. Regardless, based on this answer it seems at the very least that new players in the state of Washington would not be accepted. I agree that Bovada really needs to come out with an official statement to clear things up, because it is certainly possible that the CS reps are themselves confused on what is happening. Seems clear that MD is banned, which clearly sucks super hard for yours truly. Carbon seems like my last hope lol.

LOL @ the DC thing. It's great that they have a phone number you can call and all, but if they can't figure out how to read a map then what's the point?

For your situation, what about a PO box/mailboxes etc. in a neighboring state? You only need it to receive checks, and if you go something like mailboxes, etc. it looks like a normal street address. Just give them that and go from there.
