Shot 67 yesterday, with 23 putts. +5.3 Putts-Saved. My previous best was +0.7, my average is -2.6, and out of 70+ rounds, I only have three +s.

I will probably never have a day like this on the greens again in my life.

This whole thread is great from the start, but I start explaining "Putts-Saved" at post #100.

I hit the ball like a +2.0 handicapper, but I putt and chip like a ****ing beginner. So frustrating. When I was 16 years old it was the other way around.

50-46=96 on a new course. I hit the ball somewhat decently, but the unfamiliar greens led to 41 putts, including 7 3-putts, 4 on the first four holes alone. Forget the three-foot circle, I could barely get long putts inside an eight-foot circle.

Had a pretty funny day...

I had to get oral surgery done this past week and my jaw is still pretty swollen. Ive been couped up in my house for 3 days and decide I need to get out and play golf so I call up a buddy and he picks me up.

For the hell of it, I decide Im going to take some "medication" before I go out and see just the how the hell Tiger did it a couple years ago at the open.

Now my buddy has one arm and a stump for his right arm, but he has a huge left arm and hits the ball alongside most of my friends off the tee, and is a real athletic kid. We get paired up on the first tee and I stick out my hand to introduce myself but all that comes is something that sounds like "heyflfa im Bresshtjay"...while mildly drooling on myself.

The two guys look at each other and then at the starter and must have thought this was some sort of charity day or something. I looked and sounded exactly like Kramer in the episode where he meets Mel Torme.

Anyways, my buddy gets up and pipes a ball down the middle, as do I, and the guys are basically hugging us saying, Thats amazing...just amazing...what a drive...unreal. They both hit bad balls off the tee and made bogey, double while we both parred the hole.

On the second tee I explained to them that I had a surgery and they started laughing hysterically, the one guy even said, "your friend plays better than I do, but on the first tee I was thinking we were going to have to ditch you guys"....my buddy chimes in, "We saw you hit your drives, and started thinking the same thing about you guys"...they both laughed and it ended up being an awesome day.

Played ok, 42-40/82 and my buddy shot 46/42 for his best round ever with an 88....didnt really feel that messed up, but def. wasnt as sharp around the greens as I normally am.

^ Funny story. I was at baseball tryouts once and this dude was there with just a nub for his right hand. You could tell people were kind of wondering wtf he was doing there in uniform and didn't help that he stuck out like a sore thumb (pun not intended) being about 6'6" 170 ? Just picture a dude as skinny as possible who is 6'6" and has a nub. People were working it out in their head as to how he could hit a ball but he gets in the cage and not only did we not have to wonder if he belonged there or not, or figure out how he could possibly hit a ball, but he was actually ripping line drives better than most. It was cool to see. I want to say he played CF and did the glove transition thing that Abbot did and did it as seamlessly as possible (and had a hose for an arm). Was really cool, everyone wanted to be his friend lol. This was just for a mens adult amateur league so most if not all of us got picked up by somebody. Wasn't really a tryout as much as it was a draft. Or really, an excuse for the coaches to meet up and shoot the **** then just pick names out of a hat later at Hooters.

Used to play with a guy many many years ago that hand like 2.5 fingers on his one hand plus he was was missing part of his hand, he was still a solid golfer... I am sure most of us avid golfers would figure out a way to golf if we were missing fingers etc also.

40 on a par 30. Ties my best result, but it could have been so much better.

Opened with double-par-par, including missing a 8 foot birdie putt on the 3rd. Then my nemesis, the 4th, reared its ugly head. A severe dog leg left, and each of the last 3 times I've played the hole, I've grounded the tee shot off to the left. This time, I hit it off the toe and to the right. And about 100 yards less than usual. Second shot, water. Double.

Then the 5th, I always ground this tee shot too. Did it again. Managed a bogey though. Then hit a decent drive on the 6th. And it all crumbled from there. From there on out, I did not hit a single iron shot that wasn't on the toe. So frustrating, because the course was in amazing shape and the wind was just perfect.

Very nice work, I am on oob as well and have been tracking putt distances, probably not super accurate and only a small sample so far. Would be very interested to find to what my stat is as I feel like I've been putting terrible lately.

Just got off the course. Shot +1, 73. I felt like a putted just as well today as the other day, but nothing dropped for me today. Hit the ball really well today, though...if I combined Saturday's putting with today's ball-striking, it would have been real low, like 66. Fun game!

Shot 80 @ Crandon Park @ Key Biscayne today. 42-38.

Finally put together a round on a tough course for once, supposedly the 3rd hardest municipal course in the US behind Bethpage Black and Torrey Pines. slope is 146 from the blues so it felt really ****ing good.

I coach a JV golf team in a diverse school. We had our first invitational today and in our flight were the two defending state championship teams from the two biggest divisions in our state. My 5 golfers went 101, 102, 107, 112, and 116. My 116 shooter took a 15 on a par 3. It was painful. We are starting from scratch tomorrow.

Went birdie birdie BOGEY to finish at 1 over today. 73, best score this year. First round played after my golf "school", but have been hitting range balls every day. Now that I can sorta hit it where I want I need to be a little smarter with my course management.

As for my last round, I went 41-41 82 at Vancouver Golf Club

42 (par 37). Made a great bogey on the opening hole - long par 4, left my 2nd shot behind a deep bunker with overhanging tree limbs to a short sided pin, basically a nightmare scenario. Dumped it in the bunker, blasted out (with my 9i lol), made an eight footer. Two unnecessary double bogeys on par 5s, everything else was a par.
