Oh I thought a push cart was considered walking. I guess I'm a "pusher" then. But for real those things have to be the best golf products other than maybe rangefinders. I used to pull (sucked) and carry (better), but pushing one of those carts is just so easy and effortless.

I've gotten spoiled I guess because I absolutely detest carting because I feel like Im always slowed down driving or being driven to someone else's ball and then feel a bit rushed when I get to mine. When I have time to walk to my ball and assess the situation it helps me keep the old mind cleared.

Around when did they change from 'pull carts' to push carts?. I know when I grew up we'd poke fun at anyone pushing a pull cart in the same way you'd poke fun at someone for carrying their golf back like an arrow quiver. Now they're 'push' carts and it's the cool thing. I just enjoy the extra workout I get from carrying.

It's definitely not the cool thing unless everyone in your group is 60 and we're talking those remote-controlled motorized ones.

I got a clicgear 3.5+ a month ago and have no idea what took me so long. Down here in Louisiana during the summer it is downright awful to walk, and almost impossible to carry the amount of water you need for a round. Having the umbrella holder for shade is great too. Just need a new bag now.

It is. I certainly have no issue with push/pull carts.

Not sure if you're being serious, but a pull cart is usually not equipped with a front wheel, whereas a push cart is.
It's easier to use these push carts mainly because there's no need to tilt the cart in order to move it, plus they're just a lot easier to navigate.

Plus, pull carts are terrible for your rotator cuff

This discussion has to be a level. Pushing or pulling your bag is infinitely beter than carrying. I use a pull cart, and i would only carry my bag if i planned on back surgery.

This is the same course where the guy mowing near the green stole my ball, where they wanted to charge me $20 to have my gf ride along in the cart, and where some *******s behind us hit into us on #8 (this hole has an elevated teebox from where the fairway is clearly visible.

The course does have some really pretty and interesting holes with some picturesque views.

By the way, what's the point of having the back tees if they don't want people to play them? It's not like they're hosting a professional event any time soon...

I'm sure he stole your ball and you didn't actually lose it

there was discussion a few posts ago about the benefit of a push cart because it can hold your umbrella, which made me think of this:

for those of you die-hard golfers that frequently play in rainy conditions (hello oregon in the winter), i suggest you research what sun mountain has to offer in their waterproof collection. fully taped seams, very spacious rain hood, lots of room for extra rain gear, etc. i've had my h2no for two seasons now and more often than not i don't need to use an umbrella. match good rain gear with a truly waterproof bag and you won't need an umbrella flapping over your head for 18 holes. i honestly think i could take it out into the front yard and soak it with the hose and water would not get inside. there are very few companies making water proof bags and imo sun mountain does it the best by a mile.

this is a link to the sun mountain site, but easy googling will show these bags can be had for much less than retail. https://shop.sunmountain.com/2015-h2...68-detail.html

I greatly prefer to carry when I walk. I have an ultralight bag, take as little as possible and have a good time. Pull carts are painful to use when you're tall like I am and I sold my push cart to a teenaged girl because I never used it.

Couldn't imagine playing golf in any kind of non-drizzle rain and golf is like my favourite thing to do. I think I'd rather go to the dentist.

So you're three holes into a round when the drizzle turns into a sprinkle and you're headed to the clubhouse?
yep, just like a root canal.

If it's 80F+ probably not, but 70 or below and I'm parking the cart somewhere dry.

As long as its not pouring, I'll play. Even if it's in the low to mid 40's, I'll still play as long as the rain isn't too heavy.

I am going to dedicate my self to golf this summer and get a season pass at my local course. Played 1 awful round so far and forgot to video my swing from face on but here is driver dtl. Slightly better than my ceiling fan impaired swing but still not very good. Any thoughts are appreciated
