haha, yeah I noticed that too. It was like uh, are they using community ball marks or something? Very strange.

I also stuck around to listen to the ceremonies, it was strangely interesting to listen to the prime minister of Malaysia deliver the post-round speech in English. All in all the event lacked the budget and pomp of similar events but the tie was a fitting way to start and hopefully it will catch on.

As for today, 1) that Bowditch shot through the tree was truly insane, no way that was the smart play there but it worked out, and 2) it's clear that Roger Maltbie won't be having dinner with Andrew Loupe any time soon. He was completely losing his mind over Loupe's pace of play the entire back nine. Jacobsen and JOHNNY kept having to say nice things about Loupe to kind of cancel Roger out.

The guy was a bit much though. At one point during the broadcast today he was described as a cross between Kevin Na and Keegan Bradley. That's the last thing anyone wants to watch down the stretch on Sunday.

So he looks like a big, slow seizure?

Loupe's preshot routine is a fiasco.

Jesus, **** that guy. Is that his normal routine or is he just completely geeked out about possibly winning so early after getting his Tour card? I can excuse the latter, not the former.

It is hard to believe Augusta National actually took away one of the coolest winning perks for a time last decade, but it remains among the top things players mention after winning.

Matt Every's victory Sunday gets him to the Masters for the first time.

"I've never played there," he said of Augusta National. "And I know that experience is a big thing there. I'm going to try my hardest. ... I'm very excited, and I'm going to go there and try and play my best and see where it gets me."

Every is one of 21 first-timers in the field, with two more weeks for additions. Those in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking as of Monday will be invited if not already in the field, as will the winners of this week's Valero Texas Open and the Shell Houston Open.

wow what a headcase

so im going to be rooting for Loupe today even though it takes him 30 minutes to hit a shot. I doubt Bowditch can sustain this short game clinic he's put on through the first 3 rounds. He needs to hit the ball better today to have a chance. Either one of them winning would be nice, but i have a feeling they will both choke and Kuchar will be there in the end to hoist the trophy. I will also be anti-sweating Chesson all day. Kid is a grade A douche bag. Basketball and golf all day long. Cant beat it.

I'm pretty sure Houston qualifies as "full-point". It used to.
