I've been reading the average recovery time for this procedure is 4.5 months, that's the middle of August. No way he plays in either Open, I'd bet he doesn't tee it up again until his event the first week of December.

Something that hasn't been brought up yet, what about the Ryder Cup? He's certainly not going to qualify on points, so what if he proclaims himself good to go a month beforehand? Does Watson use one of his three picks on him? I know I certainly wouldn't and tend to think Tom has enough balls not to as well.

BO
BO - Do you think the Ryder Cup captain has any obligation to pick players that will draw fans to the event? Tiger's ability to draw versus anyone else who can be competitive and isn't already in on points will be different by several orders of magnitude. Doesn't the Ryder Cup bring in a lot of money that can be spent on other areas?

What other veteran will he pair with world top 5 player Patrick Reed who wants to play with Tiger

You might call what Tom has balls, to me it's always seemed a mix of grumpy old man syndrome and holier than thou syndrome so maybe he spites the event and it's sponsors and leaves Tiger out.

Tiger.... Sigh.

3:30 isn't even that fast (assuming everyone is in a cart).

We play on avg around 3:40-4:00 with nearly 90% walkers on our course.

The butthurt that would flow from the fanboys if Tiger doesn't get selected for the RC would be amazing, please make it happen

I really hope everyone is wrong and he is back for the US Open.

The Ryder cup discussion itt is hilarious. If healthy Tiger is picked every single time. No exceptions.

As if world number 1 and the biggest ticket draw in history would not get on the team.

What's amazing is that BO thought that far in advance, and saw the Ryder Cup as an opportunity to keep Eldrick out, and then tell the forum about it.

Like who gets that excited about a guy getting injured? What a sicko.

BO is the nut low.

Meh, im still pumped for the masters. The coverage is pretty good when you consider some of the fluff is just in place of ads. Also the back nine on sunday is pretty non stop coverage and the past 5 years has been some of the best golf of the year

With the lack of actual golf on Sundays this year, it shouldn't be tough to have the best golf of the year.

Agree. If people are compelled to tune in because of a single player, that's fine. I can't change that nor do I care to. But for me the Masters is always going to be about far more than any one player.

2010 was the Tiger comeback saga which was ultimately Phil's "family" victory. Great story and all but for me it pales in comparison to the three years since. 2011 had that unbelievable leaderboard where about 8-9 guys had a legitimate chance to win with just a few holes left. 2012 was the Oosty double eagle on live TV followed by the playoff win by Bubba, and last year saw the incredible display of quality golf in pouring rain between Adam Scott and Angel Cabrera. We've been totally spoiled by the drama.

My personal rankings are 2011 > 2013 >>>> 2012 >>>>>>> 2010.

I'm a huge tiger fanboy but anyone who doesn't watch the greatest golf event of the year because he is not playing is an idiot plain and simple.

Yeah agree pretty much.

Cabrera's shot to 18 in regulation last year was one of the most clutch golf shots I've ever seen, I would probably put last year on top slightly but maybe that's recency bias

Who knows maybe Tiger gets hooked on pain killers and sleep aids takes the whole year off

God, 2011 was incredible. As an aussie i was pretty gutted for how it ended for both day and scott but cant argue with the 4 birds?? To finish by schertzal. I always thought the back nine on sunday at augusta was a little hokey but that year it was probably the best 3 hours of golf ive ever seen. **** was going crazy all over the course.

2007 2010 was some pretty meh masters. Zack, immelmen etc. the year that cabrera beat perry and chad in the playoff was a pretty fun year. Cabrera flat out shanked a shot either in the playoffs or final few holes from memory

Ok 2010 with phils shot on 15 off the pinestraw was a good week too..

I first started watching golf in 2011 and the 2011 Masters was the first major I watched. Been pretty damn spoiled.

Chucky Three sticks... One time it into The Masters
04-03-2014 , 04:59 AM
No tiger really sucks. But the masters will still be great.

Oosty's double-eagle will be one of the few sports moments that I witnessed live on TV that I'll remember forever.
04-03-2014 , 11:17 AM
The masters is easily my favourite event of the year, regardless of what superstars are or aren't playing. Sitting in my tv room with the spring air coming in the open patio door, drinking and beer and listening to the birds chirping over Augusta. It doesn't get any better.

It was Easter sunday and I was at my in-laws with about 30 people there. We were eating lunch at this time and it was on while we sat at the table. Father-in-law is a really good golfer and it's his house so no ****ing way we're watching Spongebob or some ****. Anyway the we all see the shot and as the ball is rolling toward the hole, me, him, and 1 other guy start with the "ohhhhh!"s then the ball falls and we all start shouting and yelling near curse words amidst the nearly dozen kids under age 10 in earshot.

Everyone else is looking at us like we're nuts and we try to explain how rare that was and that it's never been captured on film and they just keep staring.

The problem was I picked him for fantasy golf, that's the kiss of death. At least he has Paulina to lick his wounds.

He's got to get up-and-down for QUAD on hole 6 so he's looking at being +9 or +10 after 6 holes.

He might just whip out the coke on hole 7 and snort some lines and go into full don't gaf mode.
