The greens are rock hard and are not holding approach shots. Dufner is in the middle of the fairway as co-leader with a 9iron to the green great angle between the bunkers he flies it 5 feet past the nearside hole and his ball bounces and rolls like 80 feet to the back of the green. He ends up 3 putting for bogey. So you can see how easy it is to bogey from the middle of the fairway. Now consider 30 mph wind and water all over the place.

Yeah, G-Mac said it was borderline playable. Great to watch though.

They showed a graphic about halfway through this round that said there were something like 122 water balls so far and the year with the next closest total THRU round 2 was like 79. With 68 players in the field your comment is almost certainly true.

Course played about 4.2 strokes tougher this year than last year through 2 rounds.

I refuse to root for anyone who, if they wear something on their head, don't opt for the traditional baseball hat, visor, or hell even cowboy (Sabbatini) or wicker (Kite) hat.

That means Freddy Jacobsen, Jesper Parnevik, and Rickie Barnes can all ead.

I'm guessing you weren't a fan of Payne Stewart then?
03-07-2014 , 11:30 PM
No those hats are fine. I mean Payne rocked that style like nobody since Willie Park or some old crusty ass.

I didn't watch golf back then, though. I just really hate the painter hats though. And whatever the hell Jesper "I ripped my hand apart on a boat motor" Parnevik wears.

Following it at work just didn't do what was happening justice. Tiger's 92 footer summed up today's ridiculousness perfectly.

I can assume we've all played a couple rounds in brutal wind conditions. Hell course I've played a handful of times Nags Head Golf Links caught on right day can smack you around a bit with those head winds.

DORAL, Fla. -- Ian Poulter took to Twitter on Friday night to blast another player competing in the WGC-Cadillac Championship -- one he will be paired with Saturday.

Poulter criticized Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama, calling him an "idiot" for apparently damaging a green by thrusting his putter into the putting surface at the 13th hole.

"Playing with Matsuyama tomo. He buried his putter in the 13th green 5ft from the hole. Referee had to repair the crater. Because he didn't," Poulter wrote via his Twitter account.

Matsuyama, 22, has been a pro for less than a year but has three victories on the Japan Tour, earned his PGA Tour card last year and is ranked 22nd in the world. He was playing in the group in front of Poulter on Friday on the Blue Monster course at Trump National Doral.

Poulter had plenty more to say on Twitter.

"Why should Matsuyama leave a crater in the green for others to putt over, or have to call to repair the damage. Idiot," he wrote.

When asked by a Twitter follower whether he would "speak to him like a man or just blast him on Twitter like all the other keyboard warriors," Poulter replied, "I can't wait to."

The Englishman also Tweeted: "I'm no saint and first to say. But that was disgusting. I wouldn't bury a putter in a green 5 ft from a hole and have players behind deal with it."

Both players finished at 5 over par Friday in treacherous conditions at Doral. They trail the leaders by six strokes and tee off in the same group at 11:15 a.m. ET.

Played that course last year. We go down there 2x every year for kiteboarding so only play it when there's no wind .

GOAT showing a pulse?

Tiger learned how to putt ut oh

Sotheysay it's a fun little track I like it. You know the par 3 that runs parallel with the water on the right side? Smashed a 3 wood into a headwind and still came up 25 yds short of green, was ridic a few yrs ago.
