Solid effort though. Nailed a brace of accidents in one night but stayed on to finish the night at the mullet man, wicked guitar, live music bar.

PS: How'd that whole pleasure pain thing go with the alcohol application?

For those of you with ewallets connected to your Thai bank accounts, how did you accomplish this? What bank do you use? My bank notified me that I'm not supposed to do e-transfers or something. I just spent several hours visiting banks to see if I could open a USD account that I could use "Paypal" with. None of them had any idea what I was talking about even after I tried to explain what ewallets do. Also, apparently there's no such thing as a checking account and the nearest thing can only be opened by a business or business owner. There are I think 6 Thai banks here so I'm hoping they just didn't understand me. I can always use bank wires but it's not like I'm crushing $25/50 and can just shrug off the fees. This would also prevent me from depositing or trying any new sites.

edit: is there a simple way to explain what Paypal does or a way to do it using bank terminology?

i got moneybookers to work with thai savings account, but it was a royal PITA. i use siam city bank, with the yellow and red signs...not to be confused with siam commercial with the purple signs.

Did you give MB your account information and get the initial micro deposits to show up? I think they claimed this couldn't be done in between explanations that they had no idea what I was talking about.

i put money in my thai bank account then gave the info to moneybookers who took the money out, they didn't have to do that micro deposit stuff, they don't require that. all you need is swift code, account number and iban number, which you should be able to get with any thai bank account

i was with you on this one, laughing at the stuff in lonely planet and guys like me. then i saw my buddy totally smash his bike on samui, broke both of his hands and banged up his face pretty good, ruined his vacation and kept him out of work for a month. they are fun to jam around in on the islands though

I'll try to find that thaivisa thread, I already posted in the SE Asia forum. I set up moneybookers at my Lao bank and it worked fine until I recently got a call saying "electronic deposit cannot" so I guess they don't want me to use MB anymore. At least I think that's what he was trying to say. I'll be pretty screwed if I can't resolve this soon.

Don't worry. As usual the Thais are going to choose common sense over immediate profit.

Maybe you should invest the money in your retirement fund instead. Might prove way more fun.

Is the "everything stops lights on and pee in your glass" police scheduled too?

Have a great concert.

PS : lol
