Not everyone here is inconsiderate and selfish. Obviously google and the search function can be used, but it's pretty clear he is asking for the help of people here

Why dont you understand the message that youve been finally banned and just go away ? Its a forum, its made to ask questions and know other people, not to bash at the first opportunity like you enjoy to do.

Whats the point of banning if they just come back with new names?

So this might seem like a dumb question, but why do you guys enjoy living in Thailand? What are some of the things you dislike? Like main reasons you live in Thailand and then the things that annoy you about it.

the only thing that really annoys me is how thai ppl in the service industry would rather pretend like they know what you're asking for and hope you go away rather than saying they don't understand you.

ofdabeat summed the rest up pretty well.

In bkk for few days so ... here we go for some feedback :

Hotel : 'First Hotel', very good with 2 swimming pool, breakfeast is top

Website : http://www.firsthotelbangkok.com/

We went to Siam Ocean World today.. this place is just a must see if you like sharks or even any other fishes. (800b for farang, 500for thai) 1h30 trip.

And of course , some runs at RCA karting and a 2 hours thai massage ....

You asked why we like living in here ? you have the answer )

The thing i dislike is about thai language.. i try.. i really try but its very hard to learn (unless you want to learn 200 sentences and stop at it)

Yup, 350 for 1 run (10 minutes) on 240cc (they have a promotion if you take lot)

At the end of the run, you have all you laps time, with ranking daily/monthly

Worth it

http://www.letapartment.com/rent/propdetail.php?id=639

In regards to the condos above or any condos on these sites, how would you know if there is any adequate internet? What is the best way to go about finding out what internet connection these places have? And is there a "minimum" connection that should be asked for (Sorry, not to knowledgeable about connections, etc.)?

Nice people. Everybody is insanely nice and very generous. And people know how to just relax and have fun. I don't even know how to describe the difference compared to like the United States. It just makes everything over there seem so superficial.

There aren't many things I don't like about living over here. I guess the ever-present disfigured beggars are one thing. They're disfigured/controlled by mafia from a very young age and it's a pretty sad system of exploitation.

I was going to say curuption as a negative point but it saved me like 10years of thai prison so pretty meh about it now

Lying stands out for me, thais lie alot about everything. If its lying , telling stories or just talking about things they have no clue about. A thai would rarely admit he doesnt know something to avoid loosing his face, this goes to the next point. Theyre over concious about not loosing their face.

Another thing is supersticiousness, thais are very supersticious and monks have a huge influence, they also believe in ghosts and stuff.

Thai are also racists and nationalists and the whole society is devided into classes. After time you get used to this stuff and it gets kind of funny.

Thais are also very materialisitc and will never mature

Those things can get annoying but the pros outweigh the cons imho and after time all of this gets pretty funny and thais arent very serious people anyways.

However there alot of sad stories in thailand unfortunetly

Oh before I forget it thai arent the people who will get into huge arguments and start to verbally fight like we do in the west. Theyll either stop to talk about , leave the situation or get physical.

The best way to get along in thailand is SMILING

I say and write faLang because first of all these are not even thai letters.
And thai people spell it falang, so why should i translate it into english with R and then still spell it with L ?

just my thought, cheers

Well , pumpui in all its finest.

Many thai people just dont speak english , and in thai language 'R' isnt used. they say 'L'

My first hotel was called 'Greenery house' .. when we arrived with friends.. the boss told us :

Welcome to 'guynely haou' !!

Both falang and farang are right, its just different dialects as people from south are saying farang, narak and so on while in northern part of country they say falang, nalak and so on.

This is correct. The Thai word for foreigner is spelled with the Thai equivalent of the R. They have a different character for the L sound. So it really "should" be prounounced like "farang".

Also the more educated a Thai person is the clearer its "R" sound is usually.
The issan hookers can't say it to save their lives hence the omnipresent "Falang".
For many people, the only contact they have with thai people is with hoes, taxi drivers and hotel employees so they end up never hearing a proper thai "R", it's even a roling R a la russian normally.

Just opened a bank account a few days ago. Easy, easy, easy.

They asked for my passport, and then secondary for my address (I think I could had opened it without). 300 Baths fee, and a Visa debit card at the moment.

I can't be more easy.

It was a Kasikorn Bank branch site at a tourist area at Samui.

The credit card isn't even at my name, it just says "Privileged Member".

Now let's see if MoneyBookers want to cooperate.
