When I say max, I mean max for one set. If you're able to do another set after that for the same weight and reps, the previous one wasnt max.

1.5 hours running stairs with heavy stuff
15 mins throw heavy stuff on the dump just before it closes

Pretty stressful and not ideal sandwiched in between training days, but what to do. Gotta help a friend.

Pretty awesome session.

Press
2x5x60 kg (132 lbs, +2)
1x4x60 kg

Pretty psyched to get to a plate on the press, even if I missed a rep on the last set. I know it's not a big deal, but feels good nonetheless.

Squat
3x5x107.5 kg (237 lbs, +5)

Thighs felt pretty busted after yesterday, so wondered how this would go. As it turned out it went very well, hammered out three rock solid sets.

Chins
5, 4, 4, 4, 4

Back Extensions
2x10x30 kg

cha, thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

Are you doing press before your squats? I had some trouble today with my press and I felt tired even on my warmups with just the bar.

Also, I watched that Dave Tate series "So you think you can bench", looking forward to benching next workout.

Yeah, re: press before squats. Found that the squat interfered with the press but not the other way around earlier. Now I'm not so sure anymore...

Rough session.

Squat
1x5x110 kg (242 lbs, +5)
1x4x110 kg
1x5x110 kg

Super dizzy on rep 4 of set 2, had to rack it. Other two sets were rough. Back to PPAN for the remaining 2-3 weeks imo.

Bench Press
1x5x78 kg
2x5x78.5 kg (173 lbs, +3)

78 felt light, so why not. 78.5 was ok too.

Deadlift
1x4.5x130 kg (286 lbs, +0)

Goddamn it. Legs were smoked after failing/close to failure on the squats. Do you guys generally always increase DLs by 10 lbs each time (SS/TM)?
Soulman's RoFL and nomzies: vanity log Quote

I have been increasing by 10lbs for a while, but only because my DL was way behind my squat. I plan on going to 5lb jumps now.

Right. Dunno how long I can keep up 10 lbs jumps either, hopefully a while longer.

Press
1x3x61 kg (134 lbs, +2)
1x4x61 kg
1x4x60.5 kg

First set I just totally lost my balance and almost fell over, lol. Never happened before. Think I might need to alternate 0.5 and 1.0 kg increases on the press.

Squat

....

Front Squat
3x5x80 kg

Got a solid kink in my upper back/lower neck from the last press set. Standard, happened a lot to me since I was 20 or so. Obv the bar on LBBS pressed right down on that spot, too painful.

Front squats are cool, 80 kg was about my limit. Form was good according to my brother.

Kroc Rows
21/22 x 30 kg (+4 kg, -4/5 reps)

Gonna keep 30 kg until I get 30 reps me thinks. Neck thing actually felt better afterwards, weird.

Weighted planks
3x10 kg x a while

Lol@ almost falling over when pressing. I completely lost my balance the other day when I did this too. I didn't mention it in my log though

Gotta get a stronger core, brah

Bro, I'm doing back extensions with 30 kgs for 10 reps now my core is rock hard.

Honestly I dunno wtf happened, completely lost concentration and misstepped or something.

Are Euro plates lighter than in US. Here plates are 45 lbs, so bar plus one plate on each side is 135. Obviously if you can do 132, you could probably do 135 also, but I am just curious how you did "a plate" and it came out to 132.

Euro plates and bars are lighter.

And it's because euros are lazy and don't want to work, so they find shortcuts for everything. Don't want to work past 62? Let's go on strike and burn things. Don't want to lift a plate? Let's divide by 2.2 and round down to an even number.

Yes, you guys clearly have the best side in the metric vs imperial debate.

...guilty on the lazy thing tho.

Actually, it's just another case of you Euros being lazy, dirty, smelly people. Take your kg's, put them in space, and it now no longer requires any effort to move that ****.

300 lbs in space still requires the same amount of force to move as 300 lbs at sea level.

Always finding a way to not put in any work. You people.

On the plus side the owner of my gym said the plates here generally weigh around 0.5 lbs more than the stated 20 kg (i.e. 44.5 lbs). Definitely noticed the difference when I moved here from the commercial gym I used to frequent, the same work sets were suddenly surprisingly hard.

Its actually funny. I work in science using mainly very small weight/volumes, so all day I am dealing with micrograms, milligrams, millileters etc., but you get me above 10 grams and I have no feel for the metric system.

Weird disconnect there.

Sometimes when I want to feel like a big man I tell the internet I lifted 135, 225 or 315, but really it was only 132, 220 or 308. SUCKAHS!

Ah, 20kg plates, that would explain it.

Anyways, I am in the biology field, where I happen to have a graduate degree, which I find a little ironic because I think every time I have made a biologically themed statement I have been soundly refuted on this forum. But I guess over the internet everyone is an expert.

Disclaimer: Yes Thremp, I know I am probably misusing the word ironic again, but you get the point.

Squat
3x5x112.5 kg (248 lbs, +5)

BF % is up to 17+. As much as I dislike getting fatter, I love it when squat sets feel as good as this one did.

Bench Press
2x5x80 kg (176 lbs, +3)
1x4x80 kg

Holy progress on the lamest exercise Batman!
