It's not very good. They had chicken or beef lasagna as lunch options, but I had the chicken before and it was gross and I don't like ground beef in pasta.
They basically have about 5 choices for lunch. I was going to try the fish, which said it was in a lemon butter sauce, and it never crossed my mind that it would be fried.

Who selected the restaurant? I can't imagine there are that many restaurants that literally only have pasta as options. As an example, pulling up Olive Garden's "pronto lunch menu": (not advocating OG, just using it as a typical Italian place)

Chicken Margherita
Chicken Picatta
Tilapia Picatta
Herb Grilled Salmon

The chicken dishes come with parmesan zucchini as a side instead of pasta, which I bet you could sub for the pasta that comes with other dishes.

This place only came with pasta. I went by myself.

I don't recall ever seeing that. Seems a bad business model given some people wouldn't want pasta, or can't have gluten or whatever. Surely there was another place you could have picked? (especially if you were planning to not eat the pasta anyway, I would get it if you decided eff it gonna have pasta)

So yesterday was really bad food wise. Lunch at the outing was fried catfish and I had pesto pasta for dinner. But, I went hiking for about an hour and we had kayak races(I came in third; beat by 2s and 5s).

The outing was really good. My company is very people and family oriented and most everyone has been here 20+ years except for the new position s they opened up. One guy gave a speech on working on our romantic relationships. They gave us three books to read: "the 5 languages of love", "The Love Dare", and I can't remember the third. I did the 5 languages quiz and my top one was "words of affirmation" followed by "physical touch", these happen to be the exact things I'm missing from my relationship with code3 lol. He is 100% acts of service (showing love and receiving).

Anyway, what are you guys and your spouses and how have yall adapted?

I'll send you a PM; you'll understand.

M,

From what I see it has pretty much exactly the type of options I'd expect from an Italian restaurant, with tons of non-pasta options.

I'm guessing they have some sort of pasta lunch special? How much was that?

El D, I think is was 8.95 and it comes with a salad.
Ordering from the main menu is more expensive and no Salad
05-05-2017 , 05:27 PM
why did you go to a place with only pasta if you didn't plan to eat the pasta?
05-05-2017 , 05:32 PM
Why are you going out to a restaurant like that by yourself at all if you're trying to lose weight? That's way worse than making an impulsive bad choice of what to order. You're not even trying to put yourself in a position to succeed anymore.

M,

If you weren't going to eat pasta, then instead of ordering pasta and side salad for $8.95 I'd probably rather get one of these for the same price:

Grilled chicken salad

antipasti salad

chicken Caesar salad

or

Grilled pork and sautéed vegetables for $4 extra.

MLY,

You do not want to succeed.

I would wager the sauteed veggies could be subbed in for the "over pasta" in any of the other dishes.

It would be extremely rude not to eat all the food brought to the table.

FYP

There, now it can apply to the sex addict men as well.

Black,

You're almost certainly correct, but I wanted to stick with what was written on the menu verbatim.

That questionnaire was painfully terrible.

Acts of service would have been substantially lower had the other options not been so bad.
05-05-2017 , 07:18 PM
Stop going out to eat.
You can't make good decisions.
05-05-2017 , 08:14 PM
She ate at least half the pasta. That's what sux about pasta, you keep eating and it never seems to finish. Same thing with padthai.

This is interesting. Are you married or in a relationship now? Has not getting enough time with your partner ever been a problem?
05-05-2017 , 10:24 PM
Seems pretty straightforward. I have relationships with people I like spending time with. I'm not a fan of PDA. I don't really look to others for affirmation, and do any guys care about gifts, so I guess doing nice things for me wins out over gifts or affirmation.

This might be the most remarkable thing from any of your posts so far.
Seriously, can we get more info on this? Sounds crazy considering the type of business you're in.

These are the books they gave us. The company's main focus is making the people happy, successful, and healthy.
When I first started, the HR person explained to me the drug testing policies. They don't fire anyone for failing a drug test, they provide free rehab up to two times and let the person take off to go to rehab and then return to work. They talked to me about going to therapy and said I can leave whenever I need during the week to go. Everyone is just really great and they want to retain the people they hire long term. They never ever fire someone in the management level and have never had layoffs.

Code3 took the test and it was pretty much the same as yours. I had thought he was all about acts of service and that we both just liked our alone time. I'm always kinda just in my own head when we are together and I'm not engaged enough, so that's something I'm going to work on. Physical touch was at the bottom of his list with a 1 lol, so that's where he needs to adjust for me. We had just about complete opposite results.
