Right. I was referring to the Ramsay vid.

That video was posted just for the basic technique. He does a lot of stuff (tons of butter, very low heat, nonstop mixing, taking on/off heat) to accomplish a very creamy custardy texture with almost no curds. Much of that is unnecessary to make delicious "normal" scrambled eggs.

Where are your logs, M?

Also, I need to switch the date on our end of May weigh-in as I'm in Lubbock for work on the morning of June 1. I can do either May 30 or June 3, your choice. Let me know your preference, thanks!

Buy a random scale at Walmart or a second-hand shop in Lubbock and use it. Standard.

June 3 will be fine.

Butter is awesome guys

confirmed

For the best possible breakfast you only need a baguette, butter freshly ground black pepper and sea salt. Probably not that good on a diet though

Pan fried with shortening. I put the toast on the pan for a few seconds to wring some moisture out. It's actually better if you make a sandwich with an egg that's been fried on both sides. The crispy egg white is enough to hold a runny yolk in the middle so when you bite into that part there is an explosion of deliciousness.

And yes, you need some salt with eggs.

grizy,

That looks delicious.

I'm doing great today. 3eggs, 1 oz cheese, crackers, lean cusine steamer, and I'm going to cook fish+asparagus+ burchetta for dinner.

Mon log:

I made homemade meatloaf last night.
1lb ground beef
3eggs
Mustard+ketchup
1 onion
Salt+pepper+garlic powder

I usually put in a bell pepper but forgot to get it at the store.

I've never looked at another meatloaf recipe, but mine is absolutely delicious and really simple.

I'm also 1 lb down for the month, so moving in the right direction. I've been steadily dropping since last week.

I messed up this morning. I completely forgot to eat breakfast and just realized I was hungry and went to the gas station for 2 sausage and biscuits. I should have just ran home and got some yogurts.

MLYLT,

I'm too lazy to go back and double check, can you tell us how many days worth of logs you've missed in the last two-three weeks or so?

Or gotten something reasonable at the gas station?

Fabian,

I believe she's currently only posting the good days

Sure.
I've missed 5 days this month and 6 days at the end of last month. I'm working on correcting that slip up now and will be logging daily moving forward.

Fruit, energy bars, beef jerky, trail mix, yogurt?

FYP, the whole point of logging and saying what you ate is to be more aware of your actions and to have accountability.

Add some brown sugar to your 'Mustard+ketchup' and thank me later.

Obviously there are better choices than 2 sausage biscuits (as BA noted above), especially from a kcal standpoint. Even if that's all they have, choosing 1 instead of 2 is much better.

But, there is nothing wrong with just not eating breakfast. If you find yourself ill prepared, just skip a meal. Just because your food addicted brain tells you that you're hungry doesn't mean you have to eat. You won't die, I promise.

I had two days last week where my kcal budget was over what I wanted it to be by the evening. What did I do? I just skipped dinner. Simple.

You make things infinitely harder than they need to be.
