Why don't you stand? After a week you're used to it.

When I had a cubical, I adjusted part of my desk to standing. I used to spend about 5hrs a day checking drawings/blueprints and 4hrs a day on my computer. I would stand to check dwgs and it helped with my neck being sore.
Now I have an office and low wooden desk. Maybe I could order an adjustable desk, but I don't know if I want to spend the money and it's more comfortable on my computer sitting.

You can just put a coffee table ontop of the desk and set monitor & keyboard there. Get a stool for sit breaks.

Once you've been doing it for a while have the company buy you a proper one.

This standing desk derail is ****ing absurd.

The owners expected me to paint the whole house! I told them I would paint my daughter's room and some trim. They sent an email specifying what color paint I was to buy for each room. I painted my daughter's room because she had drawn on the walls and to avoid further headache with those idiots. A generous thing to do since no landlords that are in their right mind expect that the renters paint their property upon moving out.

It sure is unfortunate and puzzling that you deal with completely unreasonable people in every aspect of your life!

If your goal in repainting was to be generous, maybe don't do such a ****ty job that they have to fix it up afterwards. If you didn't really give a **** about them (obviously you didn't given your earlier conflict) and were just painting to cover up damage you did, then don't complain when you get hit with a trivial charge for doing a ****ty job. LOL at acting like you did some kind of good deed.

Standing Desks will burn more calories...but a quick google shows the difference is meh ... and is very dependent still upon how "active" you are; while sitting or just standing.

I suspect many people who try standing don't really do it actively and still ultimately "slouch" because holding a proper standing posture is actually "work"

And, there old ass 1950s door got stuck. They should have paid for the locksmith, but again I was generous and only asked them to replace the lock....which they ****ing made me pay for upon moving out!
The most annoying reoccurring thing is still that none of this is your fault.

A new thing in my office is the hometrainer+standingdesk combo. Some people literally bike for hours on end on that thing.

What! If you don't want to paint, don't let your daughter draw on the walls.

You're only repainting in this spot to avoid a $500 bill from the landlord for having it professionally painted. Generous, I think not.

You must be confused. She's a very kind generous person who also happens to be a stud athlete.

I'd have gotten then entire home professionally repainted and confiscated basically your entire deposit. I might even tip the painters on your dime if they did some other stuff.

Oven cleaning might be illegal in your state. (Deposits aren't used for pet or cleaning fees in some states.) But lol Texas.

A guy in my office bought a standing desk a couple of years ago. It would go up or down depending on whether he wanted to sit or stand.

After about a month the novelty wore off and he was always sitting, and getting his balls busted for it.

This is literally every person I know who has used one.

Lol....you think they should have done this after wanting to end a lease agreement to avoid fixing a toxic mold problem and so they could rent it out right after I moved out. Yeah, I'm sure they would have gotten away with that after I sued them.
07-05-2017 , 02:10 PM
If you had adverse health effects, and could easily have that documented (along with the cause of this alleged toxic mold), why would you not sue them just for the betterment of the public good (and financial gain)?

Seems like a pretty ****ty thing to do.

I don't want to go through the trouble and I just want to be done with them.i did tell them that I would make it public that the house has mold, but I'm not sure where to put that so potential renters would see. They only use a for rent sign in the front yard and don't make ads anywhere.
07-05-2017 , 02:15 PM
That sounds like something you would do.

BTW the house almost certainly does not have "toxic mold". This is more of your own deluded world.

Nah an hour doesn't count; if you stick with it after a week or two it just feels normal but you didn't spend all day sitting. Easier to remember to move around and even stretch ocaisionally when you're already up. Plus when I sit I progressively fall into worse and worse posture.

Do you actually think standing for a few hours would be an injury risk for her? I'd snap think anything that makes her less sedentary would be a good idea.

This was all discussed months ago. I'm not rehashing it with an idiot. Take the day off from posting in my log.

Holliday,

Basically every time I read one of your posts I think you know less and less about the world.

And yes, I think it would cause joint soreness that would inhibit her from doing the little bit of activity she does. Big ****ing LOL @ thinking standing =! sedentary. wtf? Stop letting loco ****post on your account or whatever is going on.

Thremp dropping KNOWLEDGE.

As for the painting of the house, they are asking you because you ****ed up their walls and you definitely are expected to fix any damage before moving out. There is nothing generous about what you are doing. If they are asking you to paint just because, then they are insane, and you can tell them to **** right off (but I'm going to assume it is the former).
