Hey Aidain, do you have a link to the project momentum template you were running last year at this time?

The closest I've been able to find online is https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...2SRHRzT2lE/pub, which seems too repetitive and too high-volume.

What you were doing back then is similar to what I do now - 3 lifts a day and usually 1 or 2 of them pretty hard - but I don't get a ton of volume after my top set. I like how you mixed in some high volume days and often worked up to one single followed by volume work.

10th June: Starting Strength Week 1 Day 1

Squat:
80x5x2, x8x1

Bench Press:
60x5x2, x8x1

Conventional Deadlift:
90x5, 100x5

Facepulls:
10x3

Time to stop being a lazy sack of crap. Our girl is going to bed consistently by 6:30pm so no excuses not to get in an evening session in during the week now. Short term goal is make 3 sessions a week, medium term goal is to look more aesthetic on the beach this summer. Will require a cut at some point for sure (stupid delicious beer) but one thing at a time.

Glad to have you back. I had feeling loco had your obituary ready to go and was like days away from posting.

Also I think "no excuses" is a little optimistic. I've a pretty nice home gym setup and I can't get in 3 sessions a week with regularity. But I have more kids and less WIM, so I guess you'll be fine. I'm sure you will go back to being the Aotearoan subchampion in no time.

In fact, I may need to avoid your log or I'll just start feeling worse about what a lazy POS I am.

Loco is welcome anytime to personally hand over my obituary.

No excuses I guess means being understanding of things that come up, but trying to recognise which ones are legit and which ones are laziness. My wife has been encouraging me for a while to get back to it. Mentally its been tough to start again because DOMS and also I know I'll be back at square one but without the time to really get back to where I was. Like, if that's the best i'll ever be, what's the point? At least the return is not not on the back of a surgery this time.

Wait wat. From 140kg to 60kg?!! Sigh. Some weighted pushups with a vest would have probably kept 90% of gains.
