I reckon I could have got 180kg on the day. The stone was just all chalky for some reason and ruined my tacky and I panicked. I should have reapplied and had another go with it upside down.

RealB is around. I can ask him to start logging, we chat on instagram a lot. He's a dad now and quit lifting for a really long time and only recently came back.
For real? Hope its going well.
Busto and I chat a little too, dad stuff but mostly about desserts.

Hope BustoRhymes is doing well. Transitioning is full of challenges.

I am curious - what do you think has led you to the world record? There are loads of people (including me) who love some sort of fitness, but never come close to elite let alone a world record.
Picking an event in a recently established weight class, haha. Strongman only relatively recently started really pushing u80kg as a class. Its a pretty elite stone, but I think it will get pushed much higher soon.

We believe it is all time, or was at the time. A couple of Englishmen did 174kg this weekend - c'est la vie. There's a swedish guy I chat with who was pretty sure he had it at 170kg, and nothing we could find anywhere changed that. Spoke to a few of the OSG coordinators, they were hyping there 174 as the world record, and they'd dug into it too. Hans will do 180kg pretty soon, I reckon.
In any case, strongman world records are pretty dumb.

Feels pretty good, was definitely strange getting random guys who are much stronger than me congratulating me!
