4th January:

Squat: 80x5x4
Bench Press: 75x5x3, x10
Deadlift: 100x5x4
Chins: 4 sets

Decent, still got the big hotspots in my calf that make the last few inches of squats annoying. Trying to really concentrate on even pushing with both feet still. Others feeling ok.

A good friend of mine came with me to get some tips which was a lot of fun. Otherwise feeling ok. Away at the beach from sunday on for a break, should be great.

Yeah, still trying to work out why something in my calf hurts in the bottom quarter of the squat. It's only sore when my leg is that bent, gives me no issues otherwise. Need to get it sorted and the movement feeling a bit crisper before pushing too high.

Lat Pulldown, Facepulls

Great few days on holiday - not much of a break, but really nice to get out and do lots of things with the little one. Did slip on some rocks and cut my hand a little bit, so went with high bar squats. Calf is feeling a little bit better which is nice. Or i could just join the walks and floor lambic club.

Calf felt ok here. Good to get some work in. Little one starts daycare tomorrow, feelsbadman.

Cold showers: they are k but kind of chilly to be honest. Whereas sauna: totally hot right now!

Not feeling any issue in the calf with this workout, so thats good. Otherwise feeling good.

Nice session today, feeling pretty good about progress thus far on bench.

Bench Press: 97.5x5x3
Lat Pulldown, Shoulder Press

Calf was a bit sore today for these squats, trying both high and low bar. Pushed through it. Getting to the end of bench LP, these were tough by rep 5. Pretty happy to stay on track through the month though.

Nice to get to 100x5, but a bit sloppy form wise. Deadlift felt good.

Relatively quick one again tonight. Lifted with some buddies who wanted some pointers, which was fun. Will join them each week now, so hopefully some more motivation. DOMS was quite bad today.
