tbh i would absolutely hate this if it werent for the nosebleed implications

one of the reasons cap ran but not the regular 25/50 is that there were no hu tables. i've said it before and i'll say it again, hu tables destroy the overall health of the games

stuff like that does, and i'll take the ev route, but imo anything like i could earn $ instead of doing x, which ik isn't what you were saying, just on the same topic, is where i would draw the line.

I don't make any attempt to value anything i do in $/hr worth and whether i should play poker instead, except for time spent travelling, or time spent waiting, or time spent chasing $ e.g. calling up insurance/company to make idk like a $20 claim, there i'd think about my hourly... although some satisfaction comes out of getting angry at the guy on the other end of the phone

there are probs a few other examples where i would value time in hourly, but i think what im saying is clear, that leisure time is never valued in $ for me

you don't play poker 24 days/7 days a week/365 days a year

saving a few minutes is pointless if you don't mind riding the bus. It would be different, however, if you had for example 90 minutes to play poker before you had to leave for a party, then those few minutes you save might be valuable

i def. have a problem when it comes to leisure time. It's not severe or anything but I always feel a little guilt when I go out instead of play poker. Stems from the fact that I don't get enough hands in. Ideally I want to get in 2k hands a day. it's pretty much impossible which then forms guilt for not working hard enough

enjoy life my man. you cant always think of life in terms of $$/hour you are missing out on when you aren't playing, otherwise what is the point of playing professionally (in the sense of money + freedom)? why not shoot for like 45k hands/month and not stressing if you dont play because you just aren't in the mood?

i really doubt it changes much honestly. I doubt that the hs cap fish will sit at the hu cap tables instead of the 6m cap games. i mean who knows though.

-Thank god i don't win 1-2k a night
-I guess you could think of it either as if you didnt take any leisure time, you'd prob lose motivation to play(???) and either play worse, or play a lot less, meaning that going out isn't neccessarily costing you what you might perceive it to cost you.
-There's prob always gonna be a little bit of an ugh, could be winning x atm, especially if what you're doing in your leisure time turns out bad, i guess it comes down to making sure that you choose a balance that makes you happiest, and even if that sometimes involves some guilt, which may even be inevitable, it'll probably put you at your happiest. I def wouldn't ever want to get to the stage where i have to force myself to go out rather than going out because i want to or indeed forcing myself to stay in to win $$$.

I didn't say anything about 6max/9max being hard

I was merely pointing to the fact at how ******ed his logic was regarding the HU cap tables/HU in general killing 6max

My deep stack play is an abortion. What size should I make my 4 bets vs a 10X 3 bet and a guy who never folds to 4 bets?

Recently I rewatched M. Night Shyamalan's film Unbreakable. Then I was reading a thread in BBV about some guy who is 200bi below EV. So I decided that I'm going to spend my life trying to track down the lucky idiot who is currently running 200bi above EV

As big as he'll still call. Ramp it up gradually but I start with no less than 3x.

That thread is a fake, although I'm convinced the PLO one is real.

Although it's cherry picking I could show you a 2/4 6m/HU combination that is 50k under EV.

I never understood the fascination with EV graphs among professional players it seems like they usually just add unnecessary mental stress.
