yeah, no luck w/ that. i only raise what i would normally 3bet. if nothing else, checking and then having to check 3 more times and fold to the $1 bet on the river 1000 times is just super tilting to me.

he just let you see 5 free cards before firing the river bet.. why does that tilt you? you wouldve probably jsut folded preflop to a 3x raise anyways

because it's so repetitively annoying? so...much....clicking

Last edited by ryanj247; 08-08-2010 at 07:29 PM. Reason: i'd rather just fold all those hands and get it over with

$100.00 No Limit Hold'em - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: $123.50
Hero (BTN/SB): $109.00

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN/SB with J 9
Hero raises to $3, BB calls $2

Flop: ($6.00) 7 9 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $4.50, BB raises to $11, Hero calls $6.50

Turn: ($28.00) T (2 players)
BB bets $14.00, Hero calls $14

River: ($56.00) 3 (2 players)
BB bets $26.00, [color=red]Hero raises to $81

opponenet is v tight and I feel thats hes only cring this flop with 2 pairs or better

is this a good bluff or complete spew?

it's not great or a complete spew, definately a fun spot to turn your hand into a bluff if you think he is only capable of c/r two pair or better and never any of the draws that got there

you're pretty much never winning with a call and obviously not if you fold () so raising is obviously the most fun choice ldo

would he think that you would raise all your flushes on the turn for protection and only call if you were fourflushed to shove the river if you miss? if you think he would perceive your hands this way then it's an easy fold but if you think he could perceive you to flat the turn with your strong flushes then go ahead and blast it in there I guess

I raised mainly bc in the other table we were playing I flat his first 3 b with aa and he barreled twice around 2/3 and shoved on Q7632 with QQQ so I figured he had something that got really weak on how the board developed.

results after

lately ive been trying to mix things up and I think I dont bluff raise much and thought this was a great spot to do so.

Spoiler:
I got looked up by 777 and he left :P meh

Your play is fine, just not at 100NL. He prolly doesn't realize he beats 0% of ur value range, and u have like 0 bluffs in your range as well. To make this call he needs to believe you turn a made hand into a bluff (not something most 100NL players do often). At 100NL, don't try to bluff players off strong hands imo, it won't end well for you.

Hey I know this isn't an MTT thread, etc.. but does anyone know of a "DogisheadsUP" type video series for MTT's? (Pretty beginner, abc type stuff?)

My friend wants to get better at poker, and for some reason wants to do it through MTT's.
