Like, Alabama shares a loss with Oregon and from there they don't really have a win over anyone better than the team that handed Oregon their other loss (USC). They're being largely insulated right now by the notion of SEC superiority, which was mostly earned in prior years in bowl games and such. Ultimately this rationale isn't much better than giving Boise State credit in 2011 for running a trick play a few years ago.

just realized all the games on right now are complete dog **** and gonna try to fall back asleep

It looks like it has dropped to 3? Seattle seems like a good bet. I'd be more iffy about that 4.5 or 5 it was earlier in the week.

Of course, I'm the least objective person you'll find with regards to the Seahawks on this board, so I don't necessarily recommend listening to me.

was actually hoping you'd say washington was a lock, in which case i'd put a bit more on seattle

No, Rex Grossman playing at C-Link should be a recipe for disaster for the Redskins.

Seahawks' defense is legit, especially at home with the crowd noise. I feel pretty confident in this game. Seahawk offense sucks most of the time, so the game may be close, but this is definitely a favorable matchup for us.

i'm not happy with this system at all, no.

all i'm saying is that under THIS system, you cannot argue alabama being in the NCG. some people are trying to do this.

This, for instance, is an argument as to why it isn't such a damn lock. I think you can make credible arguments for Oregon or Oklahoma State (if they win against OU next week).

When we're this far away from everyone playing everyone, then we absolutely have to be comparing conference champions to each other. Letting a team have a final resume of "SEC West runner-up; National Champion" is just ****ed up as can be.

I can tell that your bets are being made on a rational basis.
11-27-2011 , 07:39 PM
Washington is pretty much the worst team in the league atm. Really no reason to ever bet with them.

All Tim Tebow does is win games and get the haters absolutely furious.
11-27-2011 , 08:54 PM
agdci with a 100% accurate post

In before Gus throws a tantrum about the media having the audacity to cover Tebow's latest win.

big ten championship game bought, going to indy this weekend

oh, timothy tebow
11-28-2011 , 12:30 AM
I always enjoy sports teams or players who a sizable number of people just actively try to contrive legitimate reasons to hate because they want to.
11-28-2011 , 12:34 AM
I pull against bad fanbases like the steelers/eagles. tebow I like since he gets haters steaming mad.
11-28-2011 , 12:41 AM
Being an old AFC West guy, I really don't like the Broncos so I can't say I'm inclined to root for them at all...but most of the hate for Tebow is totally irrational so I'm happy to argue that nonsense down.

What the ****?

How did Sparty jump to #13 and UGA drop to #14?
Sparty's losses: Notre Dame (out of conference, NR), Nebraska (#19)
UGA's losses: Boise St (ooc, #7) and SCar (#12)

I know MSU beat Wisconsin, but I don't see any other feasible reason why they should have moved up after being unranked Northwestern last week.
11-28-2011 , 01:00 AM
If it helps you feel better, it absolutely does not matter.

If Sparty wins the Big Ten title game, they'll rightfully be above Georgia. If they don't, they won't anymore anyway.
