DeSean Jackson is in the top 10% of receivers and most certainly does not suck (by any definition of the word)

Disko,

do you bet a lot on these games? Seems like that's optimal if your system is that good

Carolina just got screwed hard by an offensive PI call. Few teams catch as many ****ing breaks as the Bears do. Infuriating.

no weve just been waiting 16 years now for the first call to go our way
10-02-2011 , 03:04 PM
No, believe me. Pay any attention to the Bears and the breaks that go their way are ****ing astonishing. It's absolutely disgraceful how an entire ****ing franchise can subsist on good fortune and still only has the one Super Bowl to their name. If actual good franchises were this lucky then they'd be the biggest dynasty in the history of the sport. Good Lord.

Bears piss me the hell off, I'm probably bias as hell but I do think they get tons of calls their way.
Last year, first game of the season, they SHOULD HAVE LOST to Detroit, but due to a new rule about "completing a catch" they won. (Calvin Johnson I believe made the catch, but was ruled not a catch).

Check it out if you don't remember the play, it was soooooooo dumb.

that was awful but at least bears people recognize how terrible a call it was. the worst are fans who refuse to admit that they get bogus help

The only reason I watched that game is because my buddy is a bears fan(or maybe it was just before a packers game, or something like that), and he was totally trying to say that it was truely not a catch.
Pissed me the hell off

I blew up the phones of several Bear friends after that call happened, naturally telling them how ashamed they should be, etc. There's one guy who I can count on to always defend the gifts his Bears get...an otherwise smart guy whose brain goes to **** when it comes to sports. Pretty typical of Chicago sports fans though. The other one admitted to it being a terrible call but just said "hey, calls even out over time." Yeah, theoretically they do. But football is played seldomly enough that some teams do get more calls than others. The Bears are absolutely one of them and it makes me ****ing sick.

no i havent bet sports in awhile because i turn into degen but i'm super confident that it's profitable if you only bet those.

and it looks like my picks are sucking so far too.

Buffalol losing to the Bengals. Guess this week confirms that the Lions are GOAT.

This Lions love really does need to end. I can't help but assume that it's based in some totally worthless principle of people wanting to cheer a team that perpetually loses, as if that somehow merits good will from the country.

U mad I've been a fan since Jon Kitna was the QB, Kevin Jones was the RB and Mike Martz was the OC?

Also Beanie Wells FTW!
10-02-2011 , 08:35 PM
I wasn't addressing anyone specific. I just got back from a sports bar where people were cheering the Lions for no worthwhile reason too. Just makes me shake my head is all.
10-02-2011 , 10:05 PM
Right on cue, a Detroit friend of mine posts highlights of the Lions win on my Facebook wall. I've never so much as spoken with him about the Lions. He accompanied it with a comment that it was to show me what a great QB and elite WR look like since I wouldn't get to see much of it this year.

To absolutely no surprise of mine, Detroit fans don't know how to handle winning. Therefore, they don't deserve it and hopefully they don't get any significant dose of it. Hope the Yanks take care of this thing in the baseball playoffs soon and that the Lions absolutely implode.
10-02-2011 , 10:14 PM
You seem angry.

BOTH teams are legit. Lions cannot be any better than 4-0 and the Tigers will go up 2-1 tomorrow. deal WITH it.
10-02-2011 , 10:15 PM
I didn't say they weren't legit. I said I hoped they lose because their fans are undeserving. I would be neutral on both teams otherwise.
