Hate all of the current division rivals. Hate the Bears and Vikings passionately for different reasons. Am apathetic toward the NFC South for the most part. Don't like any of the NFC East, though I don't get to the point of hating any of them either.

Lingering hatred for Denver and Oakland from our past division rival days. Don't like KC either, but never hated them as much as the other two. San Diego I didn't care about, but like hell if I'll cheer for Philip Rivers ever. Hate the Steelers, hate the Ravens.

I guess it should be no shock that I've now listed nine teams that I outright hate. Partial contributions to having been in both conferences, and of course the Steeler thing largely stems from SB XL and the crime that went down there.

I don't really have a secondary team. I guess it would be the Colts as they're local and I like them and have lots of friends who are fans of theirs, but I don't make a point of watching them unless it's what's convenient.

plz elaborate on your viking hatred. seems odd if youre a seahawks fan.

outside of packer/bears fans i dont meet many people who hate the vikings. the franchise has had so much disappointment and sadness that ppl seem to pull for them more than other teams.

Grew up not liking them because of personalities like Jeff George and Randy Moss. Also Cris Carter was a punk despite his late-career reinvention.

The ****ing dirty deal that stole Steve Hutchinson, combined with selling their souls to the devil to try to win a title with Brett Favre...that's where it became full-on hate.
09-12-2011 , 02:53 PM
oh yeah, they poison pilled the **** outta seattle with that hutchinson contract. too bad he sucks now, like the rest of the team.
09-12-2011 , 03:35 PM
lol at anyone hating the best and most historic franchise in football. That is just a pathetic expression of jealousy.
09-12-2011 , 03:50 PM
who in here hates the packers?

Cause it seems like everyone and their third cousin is a f***** fan

i don't like the packers but i'm a vikings fan so im not sure if i count.

i really don't HATE any teams, even my biggest rivals (packers/bears, tigers/white sox). i obviously root against them during the regular season but i wasn't rooting against the packers when they played the eagles, steelers, etc.

the only team i always root against is the yankees and a lot of that has to do with my friends and the fact that they routinely end the twins season in a devastating fashion.

Are you pretending to be against those now?

Disko how'd you become a Vikings/Twins fan growing up in NYC?
09-12-2011 , 05:45 PM
I like the Packers. Didn't like them when Favre was face of their team, but when they became one of the rare franchises that had the balls to tell their diva legend to hit the ****ing bricks, they certainly won me over in a big way.

i was 6 years old in 1991, the year the northstars played the penguins in the stanley cup and the twins beat the braves in the world series. these were the first 2 sporting events i watched and i guess being a dumb 6 year old i thought minnesota was "cool" or whatever.

i thought it was a "rule" to like the all the teams from one city because i saw that all my friends/family were yankees/rangers/knicks/giants fans. by the time i was old enough to realize how stupid this was, i was already emotionally attached to minnesota teams (kirby puckett mike modano and cris carter memorabilia everywhere).

my fandom has never waned and i am an absolute die hard twins and vikings fan. believe me, it'd be much much much easier to be a yankees and giants fan lol.

I was wondering why LKJ hated so many teams and was also wondering his main team, and Seahawks... I guess if I was their fan I'd hate a lot of teams too. Had a few good years with Alexander as RB recently though I guess.

LKJ what do u think about Seahawks QB situation?

Also, any tennis fans? Watching Nadal v. Djokovic right now, really disappointed. Nadal is my favorite but Djokovic is great so its hard to root against him; I really just want to see a 5 setter. Nadal is not like himself today though.

Well seriously, we have double the recent division rivals that most teams have. Only Arizona also has that. Add in a team that we got jobbed against for a Super Bowl trophy, a team that for an added bonus is filled with douchebags, add in another team that stole our left guard through dirty tactics and our O-Line hasn't recovered since, then throw in a couple more objectively hateable teams and there you go.

The Seahawks QB situation is hideous and needs to look a lot different in a year. I'm sure it will. I do think the Seahawks are well-run from a front office perspective, and while the jury is still out on Carroll as a pro coach, his involvement as a personnel guy looks pretty top-notch so far.

Disko doesn't care about geographic affiliation.

two losses by a total of 10.78 pts, gayyyy!

DMC needs a ridic monster game or I lose the third one too
09-12-2011 , 10:49 PM
Toph, I imagine you were as annoyed as I was happy about Marshall probably having 7 end zone targets and no TDs

I'm up by 36, McFadden no 200 and 3 tds plz
09-12-2011 , 10:59 PM
marshall with a good game, could really use some RAIDAH defense to shut down moreno

also there is one guy in our league who thinks he is the **** at everything, talks so much trash, and wins all his matchups. Except every week he has a score in the bottom half but draws an opponent with the worst or second worst. This has happened for three years now and it is INFURIATING to hear him troll that he won and I lost when I outscored him by 20 points. Of course the one week we play each other my team will drop a giant turd. REALLY MAD

Janikowski GOAT. I really didn't even have a doubt he was going to make that when they were lining up.
09-13-2011 , 12:13 AM
GOAT alcoholic maybe. Solid kicker though.

0-3 unless mcfadden gets like 3TDs instantly.

I thought Randy Moss was a punk-ass until this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07G23zMGa4g

Now he's still a punk-ass, but one that has brought the lulz
09-13-2011 , 09:28 AM
More laughable was him crying on television about being persecuted for deliberately running over a security guard or whoever it was he ran over.
09-13-2011 , 01:41 PM
Im in the minority but I'd like to see him come out of retirement and win a super bowl

I always will want to see great players win a championship in their respective sport. Shame Barry Bonds never won a world series. Also why I root for Lebron

come @ me bros
