Havent you met people irl that you met online? That involves some level of trust in terms of both them knowing your identity and are also apart of a forum you try to remain anonymous on, and in the extreme case they kill you when you meet up.

OMG karak's student debt is huge and he hasn't paid it back in years! He must be a scammer.

Is that a good post to make? I mean, it's basically the same thing except that I have been late on payments and he hasn't. However, it's not my business, and I wouldn't go around posting people's debts and calling them scum when I have no knowledge of the terms and conditions or the situation between the two parties.

I am not running or hiding. I am not scamming anyone here. Tony has yet to complain publicly about this situation, and I just talked to him today. He is fine with where we stand. If Custer has a problem, he can address me privately.

Then are you comfortable with me posting everything I've got on your original account so all information is out in the clear and people can make their own judgments?

For full disclosure: I'm not entirely sure what to do here, so I'm checking with the admins first because I'm a nit. But I can provide all the info from the old account now if that will clear things up.

I'm very selective about the people I have met. I saw both Mittens and Thremp as completely trustworthy.

While you are correct that I value anonymity that is more with respect to large numbers of randoms who are also anonymous. I can't really strike back at unknowns but if someone I met decided to **** me over I'm 100% certain I could do a lot more damage to them than they could do to me. I've also been changing some stuff so that anonymity will not be as important eventually.

The girl is the daughter of family friends/neighbors who are good friends of my parents. I'd be shocked if her dad is actually that much of a scumbag, because he doesn't seem like one as far as I know him. I've had drinks with him and my dad many times for god sakes

Honestly guys, is this my life? Because I'm having my doubts. I guess this is how it works. At least I didn't get hit by a bus or contract AIDS I guess. Though this really isn't about me. How terrible for both of my parents if this is true. I can't imagine an allegation like this is false that often though.

I know it's weird cause it's your mom and all, but banging other people -- and at the very least wanting to -- is not uncommon. They are adults; let them deal with their own ****. For all you know, even if it's true, your dad might know already, and maybe he's banging his secretary. And your mom and dad still love each other. But they've been together a long time and just need to switch it up.

Or maybe they're swingers.

Point is: it sucks that you had to find out, but be sympathetic. They are people too.
