Officially going to see Family Feud being taped on the 28th.

Steve Harvey is still the host and apparently just kind of tries out jokes on the crowd and mingles a bit between takes and during production pauses. Also, that means a question like this might come up.

Last exam for the semester is tomorrow, want to go to the bar but I have to go into work early the next day (got called in). 7:30 wake up time. How many drinks/hrs of sleep will be enough to get through an 8 hr day doing warehouse work?
06-17-2012 , 02:24 PM
I wouldn't get drunk. Sleep depends on the person but I can get by with like 3-4 hours or even less but not if I'm hungover. Physical labor while hungover is the absolute nut low.

at least 4 hours of sleep, chug some water before work, and obviously coffee. I wouldn't get white boi wasted but you could probably get away with 6 or 7 drinks and be fine. Working in an airconditioned warehouse is a lot nicer than doing landscaping in the summer (which I'm doing, and mullen is 100% right, hauling dirt in 100 degree weather hungover is nasty business.)

Demand a higher level of discourse from all you read and/or deal with.

I got offered a job on Thursday, after some thought Its not for me. It involves cross city meetings several times a week, and working from home(which I didnt know before the interview). Should I decline by phone or email?
06-22-2012 , 10:46 PM
you are counting working from home as a NEGATIVE????????
06-22-2012 , 11:31 PM
Si, id rather have 9-5 at this point.

it's a level obvs
06-23-2012 , 12:22 PM
Not a level, it would be impossible for him to work 9-5 at his home due to his obvious mental deficiencies.
06-23-2012 , 12:50 PM
Well its an entry level programming position, and at this point I think its better if I work at an office with other people, as it will would be more of a benefit to help my programming, rather then working at home.

lol at anyone turning down a good job that allows you to work from home unless another job is offering quite a bit more money.

I got angry just reading that

I would also consider working from home a downside in any job out of which I wanted to make a career.

Same.

Even ignoring career considerations getting out of the house is a good thing.

Ok well, I sent an email declining job offer, but I feel super bad, and think he will be pissed. Even though it was only 2 days since the job offer. I Will not check email or phone till tommorow, lol

Yea well that was part of my decision, as I admit it was an entry level position, and Id rather be in a bigger company then a 10 person company working from home. The possibilities for career progression are better at an office job I believe.

Ive been too much of a hermit the last few months applying for jobs, I'd 100% rather get an office job and be social again!
