Anyone ever run into an IWC in the wild (Non-Vegas/Poker room/Poker player)? I've been keeping an eye out in Seattle/Portland for the last 2 months and the best watch I've seen is a Seiko hahaha.

One of two non-casino/vegas IWCs I've seen was actually on the wrist of a guy standing outside a Seiko outlet in Wrentham Mass, a Top Gun.

It's a big brand but like most similarly priced watches, in reality it's something you'll pretty much never bump into.

I saw a Panda dial IWC Portu on the wrist of a shoe store owner in Rome. Shoe store was located right in front of the fountain of Trevi FWIW

I just got a Sinn 6100 Regulateur like this one and keep wondering why it hasn't been mentioned either in this thread or the old one.

I had my Panerai sitting on my desk at at work when someone walked by and spotted it.. (I often take my watch off when typing) He was wearing an Aquatimer. This is even more out of the ordinary since I work in high tech (not exactly a mecca for nicer watches)

I've spotted a Patek 5970 at a rather pedestrian restaurant in Toronto so anything is possible, just keep your eyes peeled.

i'm content with just hearing about someone spotting a patek let alone seeing one for myself, heh. in the few years since i've taken a serious interest to watches, i've probably seen less than 3 "really nice" watches in person. but +1 on mostly being in a college town for those years as well.

It's somewhere on my massive list of bookmarked watches. Definitely like it.

In that case, here's another sighting..

I spotted a Patek 3970 on the wrist of a middle aged gentleman while in Geneva. It was at the Patek museum though so that's like spotting a pigeon in trafalgar square..

A friend I work with had dinner with a lobbyist who was wearing a Patek. That's as close as I've gotten. :-)

NU Star,

LOL - sick 2nd degree Patekage there.

Where I work I think I have the nicest watch and I'm a college student lol (most others are professional research scientists who are pretty youngish too). Sadly I'm still wearing an Omega Seamaster Professional. Once I get that IWC then I can really walk around confidently knowing that my watch is the ****.

Tried on this nice piece in the store today

Looks great (better in person), perfect size etc. Just wish that the second feature were something more useful (to me) then a travel clock I'd snap buy it if it were a chrono, power reserve meter or something.

How much did that run? I was looking into vintage UN's...they seemed pretty nice. It looks like its gonna cost a ton but it looks great.

Store said it was like ~9k CAD, I see the US retail at about 7800, and they can be had online for 5500-5800 USD.

Hmm...actually thats not too bad then. Looks really nice though. Not just not too sure about the look of the lugs.

I actually almost bought a similar one a few weeks ago,

They REALLY look amazing in person but honestly I thought it felt pretty uncomfortable.

Such a great watch. On my short list for quite a while now.

Sinn Regulateur is definitely on my list, too. Would love to see some wrist shots, Pollux.

Never really been a huge fan of GMT style watches but I'm falling in love with the Linde Werdelin 3 timer

Yeah, lugs seem a bit out of place for me on the watch.
