Uniform is black slacks with a white short sleeve shirt with epaulettes.

These are the shoes I'm considering:

I'd like to go shopping within half an hour, so any quick opinions would be great. My thoughts: the rounded toe shoe "Noble" looks like something a cop would wear. The other one looks more stylish while still looking professional, and the rubber sole would last while working.

edit: my sister suggests this one: http://www.florsheim.com/shop/style/13136.html she likes the seam across the toe.

I was thinking about buying a pair of damaged shoes on the cheap and then maybe send them in to Allen Edmonds to get repaired. Anybody know if this kind of imperfection on the mesh can be fixed, either by a cobbler or by sending them in for recrafting?

assuming they are AE, take a picture, and send it to them, they have a recrafting email address. they'll probably answer you.

if they're not AE, they won't touch them

I generally don't think it's a great idea to buy super beat shoes and pay $120+ to have them recrafted. especially AE, as it normally costs roughly that much to buy a pair thats been worn 3 times.

These are brand new. So the idea is that I'd just wear them normally, as I dont' care about that small of an imperfection, and then recraft them later on. And, yes, they are AE's.

I already have a pair. Wore them to my company holiday party with a cheapo gray corduroy suit from H&M.

My bottle of Burberry Touch is almost empty so i will soon be on the market for new aftershave. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've managed to go my whole life without buying aftershave so i'm clueless to what's out there and what to go for.

Anyone here have experience with Charles Tyrwhitt shirts?

They appear to be having a big sale.

I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older.

Truefitt & Hill Advanced Facial moisturizer is phenomenal for your skin. Not cheap though.

Legit question, do any of you buy magazines such as Purple, Black Book, i-D, Vogue Hommes, etc?
