hey, you: please recommend best brown / herringbone type blazer to wear with brown or khaki pants under, say, $400. just got promoted and looking to add one or two decent blazers to my closet.

KMW jeans and Express socks if anyone is wondering.
Love burgundy. Does anyone else think wingtips look a little odd with jeans though? If anything it seems that longwings are more casual.

Any suggestions for dark brown chukkas?

Was looking at these Loake 1880 Pimlicos:

Nice, but around $240 shipped. For most leather shoes, it seems worth it to go with full grain to get a better look. However, it seems with suede I might be able to get away with a cheaper shoe? Any other options for less money that might hold up pretty well? I particularly like the sleeker/narrower shape of these compared to say, Clarks DB's.

Can someone suggest a belt that will last? To be worn with jeans, and brown is preferred.

Can't speak for any of their new cuts or materials but the old 13mwz's were far and away the toughest jean I've owned. A lot of people don't like them because the color fades to a blueberyyish color. They've changed manufacturing plants etc. since I was wearing them. Try to find the Blue Bell 13mwz's for a cheap raw option, you should be able to get them for less than $50, probably a lot less. They're a vintage model so they'll be made the old way and they should be super durable. They also don't have the copper rivets of regular 13mwz's and I think they look a little cleaner because of it. Remove the patch on the right ass cheek and you're good to go. Here's a pic of the BB 13mwz's:

Ignore the clown cuffs, obviously.

Leather Goods Connection

Custom made. Pick your length, color, buckle, etc. I've got three and love them. Single piece of leather, so they won't come apart.

Came across these in my search on styleforum, I had no idea they could be found for so cheap. I'll definitely check them out as well.

they come from turkey and they use the worst ressources and sh]t.
but don't worry, pollution and minimum wages don't matter as long as we can wear cheap clothes.

They use/used Turkish denim but aren't made in Turkey. I'd put my money on the durability of original 13mwz's against any designer denim of similar weight. lol at the employees making poor wages being a consideration; in a perfect world maybe that'd be a consideration but here in the real world employment prospects in developing nations are sometimes few and far between, and a low wage is better than no wage. Besides, who is forcing them to work at that plant for that wage?

I was not terribly impressed with the durability of my APCs. They did not any longer than my levi's STFs typically do.

each blue bell collection is different.
that's why a pair from e.g. the newest line (marketed as "made in usa) costs about $200.
don't know about APC (hate the brand), i only wear japanse denim (studio d'artisan, momotaro, sugar cane).

APCs are loved for their cut, not their durability.

What about them do you find offensive? They just seem like minimalist jeans to me.

I'd choose my APCs over my Sugar Cane's if I could only have one. Love the cut.

True, APCs are not known as the most durable jeans but most people on styleforum seem to argue that a big part of the price tag with jeans that are more than $150/pr is they last significantly longer than the cheap stuff, and APC would be included in that.

In my (albeit limited) experience this hasn't been the case.

APC has produced hipsters at least since 2004. IMO the name is more about describing the fit (low rise) than it is a reference to scenesters.

My legs are too big at this point to fit into even rescues, so I'll probably never get another pair of APCs.

lol who calls a clothing line 'hipster'? that's just asking for a bashing lol.

What are your thoughts of chinos/skinny jeans and the colours they have?
