Walleyes ain't no to joke. Dorsal spines, razor sharp gill plates, and (apparently) scaly paws.
Lucky the sheets were all that were lost.

this week I've come to the realization my life lacks purpose. by " old folks" standards. I sit at home and play on the computer all day ( i do play video games, buy that's only for like a few hours IF that, not like a wake-up and boot up ark, that's omgs job)
anyway, My question is, WHAT can I do in the short term to not feel so down. I've been trying a few other things here and there ( i applied for 8 jobs yesterday and i feel as if i had a good shot at most of them. so fingers crossed)
how would you negate this feeling?
( please do not say " just get a job" that's obvs my first priority)
|
You gotta stay positive! HIV positive does count, in this situation, cause you're gonna always be positive from that.
Essentially...get a job (didn't see that coming, did ya?).
You're probably too old to be a candy striper. Maybe the local animal rescue or homeless shelter could use some accounting help (free accounting help).

Re: The question of the day thread
you have to give yourself things to be proud of.
You can start as small as clean you room and make your bed every day when you get up. Sounds dumb but conning home to a clean room with a made bed provides consistency and a sense of discipline.
You dont want to hear it because it's the truth, get a ****ing job, i have never understood the notion of "I am looking for a job". Even if it's flipping burgers or landscaping, just get a job and look for a better one while you are still working.
Cut out the video games, use your free time to improve yourself and give back to others. Volunteer at least once a week, gym every day (4 days is good start), read a book instead of playing games, go outside instead of sit in front of a computer screen.
idk if you smoke pot or drink frequently but cut that out.
I have struggled with depression my whole life and these are some of the things that have helped me.
Sit down and write a list of goals you want to achieve. Then think how long it will realistically take you to achieve them. They don't have to be as big as "have a career". Then break them down into what you are going to do every month to work towards them. Review your progress to keep yourself honest, but progress towards each goal is now right in front of your face.

Re: The question of the day thread
I fold it first with the shiny side out, then wrap to have it shiny inside and outside!
