I refer you to my previous post on this subject

For several weeks I've had itching from the side and back of my head, neck, and shoulders, as well as my waist where my clothes press tight. There are many small red bumps. It seems that this would require two separate lice infestations (as head and body lice are different species) which makes me wonder if it could be something else instead.

Advice?
I would worry much more about the body bites than the itchy hair. Deal with that and the hair will prove either to be sympathy itching or the same problem IMO.

just comb ur hair with a thorough comb and see if any creepy bugs stick

I'm going to USA for the first time ever in July (never left Europe before) with my family, and I wanna hear what's worth seeing/where should I go?
I'm not really a fan of tourist attractions, I'm more into getting a feeling of what the local life is like, I'll be staying like a 100-200 metres from emp state.
And I'm 20 :'/ how am I supposed to get ****faced and party with my (hppefully) new, American friends?

you're visiting the wrong coast

I'd like to know about the people there, are they friendly? Engageable?
In Denmark you're pretty much a freak if you talk to people in public, everyone is expected to be as subtle as possible and never catch attention.
In other words: I'm a misfit, in the public opinion, at least.

Scenario:
I'm chilling around in Central Park, I see a group of people that look nice and friendly and chatty, can I engage them and ask if I can join or talk for a bit or will I get shot because HEY DIS IS MURICA U FILTHY IMMIGRANTTOURIST

i think you have a good chance of meeting people who would like to talk to you. there is something about traveling that makes you like a zillion times better at making friends. at least that's been my experience. lots of people will think it's cool/interesting that you're from another country. if you see a nice friendly group of people in the park, they'll probably be happy if you talk to them. tell them it's your first time in the usa.

i've made friends with a couple of traveling danes. i never would have been friends with them if they weren't travling from denmark. true story

of course some people will be douches. but don't let that slow you down. that is their problem, not your's.

"filthy immigrant tourist" isn't really used on people with white skin, unless they are french

Pretty sure head lice are barely the entry level for parasite infestations and that bed bugs, lice, fleas, chiggers etc are a whole nother ball game. At least it's probably not ticks

I've just been reading about this real story of the bin laden mission. Wowow.

The Wired articles on the rise and fall of Silk Road are pretty ace for anyone with even just a passing interest.

mainstream american press(where we have freedom of the press) completely dismisses it. does it have any traction with mainstream brit press?

I was reading about it in the London Review of Books, which is a fortnightly magazine read mostly by leftish academics. I dunno about elsewhere.

My wife just had me watch a youtube meditation on this very thing. Pretty funny.

the "real" story isn't the ravings of nutso Sy Hersh. Utter conspiratorial nonsense.
