Year 15 and Bron still outputting all time great production. Jordan is an after thought left to nostalgia more than anything at this point.

Yep, you're right. MJ would struggle mightily in a spaced out offense. Couldn't possibly see him just being a better, more efficient Harden/Westbrook and actually play defense..

I held onto the Jordan GOAT view for as long as I could, but Lebron has just taken a solid lead with his continued greatness the last 3 years and he just keeps stretching that lead farther and farther now IMO.

Why does Jordan get a pass for 95?

It's insane to hold some of these finals losses against Lebron while still saying **** like that.

He played 17 reg season games at 39mpg and 10 playoff games at 42mpg where he scored 41ppg. He wasn't rusty, he just lost.

Interestingly his numbers in the playoffs for his 17 game year compared to the 72 win team are almost identical other than turnovers. Though, obviously the further you progress in the playoffs the harder it gets.

Anyway, it was the big moments MJ failed in that year. 2 big turnovers against Orlando being the one everyone remembers. And Orlando chasing them down in Game 6 when the Bulls seemed to be in control.

If you can't see how someone coming back after almost 2 years out for 17 games and the team lacking chemistry (and him lacking some touch), I'm not sure what to say.

I'm not even defending either MJ or LeBron.

IMO he wasn't 100% MJ that year but he wasn't that far off from it either. That Orlando team was probably the most talented/best team they played in their entire run and they lost Grant in free agency and he went to Orlando.

Also, Horace Grant talked about this on Simmons podcast once but Phil was trying to **** with him and he wasn't guarding him. Grant shredded the Bulls all series with like 18ppg on 70% TS% or something absurd.

LeBron would win 8 straight by now if he ran into Jordan's finals opponents. And he would not even need Wade or Kyrie, 8 straight with some of his more garbage lineups like this years.

Yeah bc a team with Dirk and 38 year old Jason Kidd as its second best player is way better than prime Stockton and Malone.
