Although Fury said he is injured, sources involved in the fight have told ESPN that he simply was not prepared to fight Klitschko again in just a few weeks. Fury, who has partied hard, has been seen drinking in public and appeared out of shape since winning the title, even grabbing his gut at a recent press event promoting the fight.

The Fury fight has had cancellation written all over it for a while now ... hardly surprising this news has come out.

Ticket sales have been awful by all accounts ( lol Fat Mick ) and this will be either moved to Germany on a PPV or Hearn will get his mucky paws on it and headline it on Sky PPV with another fight in September or October.

A lot of people are saying that looks like a old picture.

Hes had his head shaved lately but it looks like there is hair under that cap and he looks much thinner in that picture compared to how hes been lately.

Many have also been saying before today that they have seen him out on the pi$$ lately .. like he knew the fight was going to get postponed.

I would not put it past Fury to deliberately sprain his ankle ... hes that mad.

He didn't have to show anything, people are going to have conspiracy theories no matter what, you just need to read Hap's post lol. He hasn't seemed that interested in it at all from what I've being seeing and hearing so this doesn't really come as a surprise, I'd say it's cancelled more because he can't be arsed rather than an ankle sprain.

In fairness .. quite a few people said this fight was going to be called off a week ago.

I agree. Fury's actually got himself in good shape and he'd been training hard. Eddie Hearn mentioned a week or two ago that he can't see how they're running the fight without making a huge loss and that he wouldn't be surprised if Boxnation slapped a PPV charge on it.

I reckon it'll be rearranged in Germany. Maybe combine it with Brook Vargas or Eubank Golovkin.
