Some rumours that Tyson and Hughie Fury have failed a drugs test.

Apparently this went out live on CBS? Pretty good advert for the sport.

yeah i'm hoping it got good ratings. it really has no excuse not too as it has been the best pbc matchup they have had, prob the best fight on network tv in like 20 years (in terms of matchmaking) and there are no sports going on in america except regular season baseball at this point. plus if it does well it might actually incentivize uncle al to put some good matchups on tv instead of the utter crap we have been getting with the pbc

Great scrap! I had it a draw after giving Thurman 11 and 12, but most rounds legitimately could have gone either way. I favored Porter dictating the pace and his work inside more than Farhood, especially in the middle rounds. This fight demands a rematch.

I would like to see porter in with Garcia I think

Porter in with any good WW would be great, his style is fun to watch. My only complaint on him is that he's another Canelo rehydrator. Despite fighting at 147, he's over 160lbs in the ring, so he can use his size to bully smaller opponents and absorb more punishment. I fear he'd look more pedestrian against 154 lb opponents.

Herd looked good last night too. Good footwork and combinations.

This would be just so shocking to everyone... the Fury's doping and drug testers releasing a positive test 9 months after a fight? Nothing like that has ever happened before in boxing!

Looks like training is definitely out:

Love the way he jumps up n down on that bad ankle. You can see the pain in his face as he does so

What do you mean no training? All the English are doing in France is running around fighting Russians.

That Thurman fight was ace. He really needs to be lined up to chin Kell Brook.

Yeah Fury acting the Gypo (pun intended) in France isn't exactly making him look good.

No idea. I'm a bit out of loop with all things Ward, were we expecting him to fight Kovalev next or has that always been planned for Nov/Dec?

Last edited by Consty; 06-28-2016 at 03:58 PM. Reason: Boxrec tells me Ward Kovalev is made for 19th Nov in Vegas, nice.

Yep, both he and Kovalev have tune up fights first.
