My father said there were 14 Winnipeg or Manitoba kids who could get drafted, but the NHL website didn't list the hometowns, just the Junior teams and country.

I know the Jets picked up a guy name Owen Martin, which is already almost Rowan and Martin.

Let's see...probably check the Winnipeg Free Press...

Jets picked:
Sacha Boumedienne, 1st round, 28th, puck-moving defenceman, Finnish but really Swedish,
Owen Martin, 3rd Round, 92nd, from Oakbank, Centre,
Viktor Klingsell, 5th round, 156th, speedy, skilled winger, Swede,
Edison Engle, 6th round, 188th, good skating left-handed D, Illinois,
Jacob Cloutier, 7th round, 220th, quick winger, Ottawa-ish.

Yeah I never thought he would be an upgrade for Edmonton . Not much out there other than Vancouver is crowded in goal and has to move one

The Toronto Maple Leafs are finalizing a 6 year, $7.75 million annual extension with Matthew Knies! See if that does pan out.


Also, Giroux signed an extension with Ottawa.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired Matias Maccelli from the Utah Mammoth in exchange for a conditional 3rd round pick

AAV of $3.425 million next season, then RFA. 18 points (8+10) in 55 games with Utah last season.
