I expected more out of Kane in the playoffs was very disappointing. Good to see them dump the salary

If I am Mcdavid I am signing nothing till I see what they do with the team. Sign a top flight goalie, Dump Nurses contract . Also I am signing 4 years Max if they make some progress

yeah kane seems like a terrible waste of $5m+ cap space, plus he's a total shithead, so gjge everyone. man i hate these donkeys from pittsburgh running the team ..... stg next season might be the one i finally just give up and stop watching. it probably won't be unless they totally suck, but we're getting closer and closer to that every day

Canucks forward group looks awful even if Pettersson returns to PPG+ form somehow. Not that Kane is the main culprit there mind you.

I'd watch as long as Hughes is there unless they stink too much. Then just bandwagon Utah or something until Fredo sells the team or they're good again

Is Quinn even going to stay in Vancouver? He’s been vocal about wanting to play with his brothers and it would be much easier for him to go to NJ than to get them in Vancouver. Future looking very dark in BC.

As for Kane I may have been to critical on him . He had a a decent first three rounds but hurt the Oilers in the Final. Though he wasn't the only one

I hope he does well in Vancouver. Oilers needed to dump salary but good luck replacing his type of play

Its Like Marner good luck replacing him . Watching TSN and interesting comment how he would be a good fit in Washington . I still think he ends up in Vegas

As per Frank Seravalli, some big NHL changes are coming tomorrow.

- an 84-game regular season/4-game preseason
- no player dress code
- lowering maximum contract lengths by one year
- the LTIR loophole closing
- no deferred salary
- full-time EBUGS

This kinda feels like when MLB players gave up some real economic concessions for stuff like clubhouse Chefs. It seems like signing bonuses will be limited as well.

No dress code will piss off lots of annoying people though
