Td/int ratio alone is a poor metric to determine mvps and the best player. Rodgers is holding the ball and taking sacks like it’s his job.

KC's defense probably shouldn't be that bad, they have pass rushers. Chris Jones is good. Dee Ford isn't total **** now somehow.

Throwing a pick is not more valuable than tacking a sack.

Their best and highest paid player in the secondary, berry, has been out all year. The d probably sucks because teams are forced to pass making their metrics look worse just like NO’s d.

Pretty sure Rodgers has been basically a league average quarterback this year

Mahomes has def had a lot of picks that were dropped it wouldn’t surprise me if he were one of the luckier ones although maybe it happens more for all qbs than I think. I realize Brees has been historically unlucky when putting up monster seasons but I just think if Brees was having the year Mahomes was having and vice versa there would be zero debate at all on who is mvp

I never said that but spouting out insanely low int ratio alone isn’t really worth mvps. Yes it’s insanely valuable to avoid turnovers but Rodgers and the packers have a league average o this year despite good rb play for much of the season. Rodgers has led some elite Os, this isn’t one of them.

Na, lets argue about which team didn't have Chris Conley and how that should give them more credit instead

I don't know what point you're trying to make, but I don't think you understand how bad the Saints' "weapons" past the LOS are outside of Michael Thomas. (And he's better than Hill or Allen, but not by enough to make up for having all the other guys Mahomes and Rivers have.) Conley is still better than anyone in the Saints' crew of rookies, undrafted players, undrafted rookies, and AARP member Ben Watson.

Pro Bowl rosters are out. Chargers got the most selections. I have a long list of Saints snubs.

There should be some way to challenge obviously terrible judgement calls imo. Other sports do it. It's not impossible.
Sweet, now do the two third and long holds against the Chargers

This is correct. Houston is still pretty good. The corners aren't horrible. But the safeties and ILBs are playing at historically bad levels and no one is sure why.

Kamara and Thomas make a sick one two punch even if the rest of the receiving core blows. If you include Ingram, their skill position core is still high but they are playing a crazy number of non name scrubs since Ginn got hurt at wr. With that being said, their d is elite now and they still have enough weapons and HFA to be the clear favorite in the nfc.

I follow a guy who tracks these things (Seth Keysor on the Athletic). At least early in the year Mahomes wasn't throwing many potential picks. Although lately he's definitely had some drops.

Brady getting in ahead of Luck is pretty bad too.

Also Juju got shortchanged

Clearly he hasn't had his typical Godgers-like season, but who would be the third NFC QB ahead of him? I couldn't think of one off the top of my head, so taking a two-second look at stats, I guess Matt Ryan? But then people would laugh at Matt Ryan being in the Pro Bowl.

And Michael Thomas catching 86% of the balls thrown to him is just sick.

Ryan or Wilson would both be acceptable for me. Wilson kind of hard to evaluate for these things because he has thrown so few passes and the Seahawks are a weird team but Ryan for sure

Anyway it looks like if the chargers take care of the ravens we will probably see colts titans week 17 as a de facto playoff game that will be good to see. Just occurred to me that the chargers chiefs division loser will likely play pit on the road wildcard weekend. God that would be a nightmare matchup in my mind even tho the chiefs already won there early this year I don’t like the odds of winning there at all. Honestly think the pats are in a great position getting to play whoever they would play as a 3 seed. road game at Texans or a home game v whoever is not bad at all

It is Rivers vs Brees at this point. Recency bias is tipping the scale toward Rivers for me.

pro bowl OL still "who have we heard of" I see. Over half of them don't belong at all.

Bears selections seem solid though I'm not gonna bother checking if there were other NFC returners or a CB that might've been better than Fuller, other guys were easy picks this year.

Wasn't Anthony Barr a pile of dog**** for a lot of this season? Well it's the pro bowl--hey we've heard of that guy pick him contest for the most part.

Steelers have pro bowl RB/C/WR/OT/OG* and the QB isn't garbage so how the hell are they not the Chiefs on offense?

*okay one of them probably wasn't deserved but you get the point, that team is f'ing loaded on offense

Don't get the Aaron Rodgers is only avg or whatever takes in here---the only QB in either conference who didn't get picked you could've reasonably argued over him is Matt Ryan and the falcons were trash too.

League average was an exaggeration but like 14th in passer rating and 17th in qbr which whatever idk if anyone puts any stock in that I don’t really care much about passer rating but football outsiders has him rated #9 on the season but with a big gap between him and the guys in front of him and a jumble behind him. I know he’s probably been hurt but I would be a bit worried about seeing any more vintage GODgers years
