Lots of guys on offense snubbed, I presume?

Both sides. (As Capone mentioned, the defense has risen to new heights, ranking second in DVOA the last six weeks.)

It's hard to call Kamara a "snub" given the three guys who got the spots in the NFC, but his season is deserving. Kind of also how I feel about Lattimore on the back end.

Demario Davis is a big snub; he's had a substantially better year than Barr, maybe one of the best off-ball LB seasons in the league this year. Rankins has 8 sacks and is maybe the NFC's best interior pass-rusher not named Aaron Donald.

Wil Lutz has missed one field goal all year, is only one field goal behind Aldrick Rosas, but has 21/21 extra points on him.

Ramczyk also could have gotten a spot, Tyron Smith's this year is totally on rep. Either guard would have been a deserving pick too.

Rodgers over Wilson is silly at best, embarrassing at worst.

Rodgers: 61.8%, 7.4 Y/A, 23/2 TD/Int, 97 Rating, 54 QBR, 237 Rush Yds
Wilson: 66.3%, 8.0 Y/A, 31/6 TD/Int, 112 Rating, 65 QBR, 321 Rush Yds

PFR advanced passing stats even worse (Wilson ahead 7 of 9):

Rodgers: 104/100/114/111/94/98/133/93/109
Wilson: 116/104/125/116/110/138/113/76/127

Not even counting 5-8-1 vs. 8-6 team records, which is usually the 1st criteria to make pro bowl.

It is Rivers vs Brees at this point. Recency bias is tipping the scale toward Rivers for me.
Except Rivers alone lost the DEN game @ home with a silly INT and probably the most braindead throw in NFL history.

I'll give him an A+ for the 2nd KC game but PIT dropped an INT in the end zone which would have likely sealed a win. And the games he did win an average QB would likely have won as well. Other than KC/PIT Rivers has beaten 2 teams with a winning record, combined 52-87-1.

Who do you pick? Jerry Rice? Lawrence Taylor? Jim Brown? Other?
Roger Craig getting 1800 yards from scrimmage every year would be difficult to top.

Marshall Faulk I guess.

Marcus Allen was destined for all-time greatness until he got in Al Davis' doghouse. At 33 he was traded to KC and gained 1000+ yards from scrimmage 4 straight years. I can't think of anybody else who did that other than Rice. 143 career TDs, + 6 passing TDs. Add another 25 with a sane owner/coach.

Rodgers got McCarthy fired.

That's gotta be worth a Pro Bowl spot.

Well he'd be behind McCaffrey as well

So he's beaten more teams with a winning record than everybody except the Pats and Rams? Rivers' opponents combined records is 79-87-2, Mahomes' opponents combined record is...79-87-2, Brees' opponents combined record is 81-85-2 and both have three wins vs opponents with winning records.

Any guy (Aaron Rodgers) that gets benched for Josh Allen on my fantasy team, doesn’t deserve to be in the pro bowl

Speaking of Colin Kaepernick not having a job, Eric Reid has been "randomly" drug tested six times since signing with the Panthers.

Ben has been absolute garbage for stretches this year. His good moments are as good as anyone's though. Anyway Villanueva is decent but not really pro bowl caliber OT

seeing the number 0.17% being thrown around, which sounds about right, and is also about how much i trust the nfl that this it's truly random

McCaffrey not getting in isn’t a travesty, given I can’t argue he should take one of the other NFC spots but his numbers are almost identical to Barkley and he’s better than any of the AFC runners

Not defending the NFL but just trying to rationalize - what’s so bad about being drug tested if you’re clean? I guess it’s an extra 20-45 minutes in your day; but is there some outstanding impact it has (blood being pulled means you can’t do xyz today?)

Uh I didn’t say it would be ok if the NFL was signaling out Eric Reid. If they were manipulating the system to drug test him more often, that would be scummy. (I don’t know what system they use, or who pulls the names out of a computer, etc. to confirm or disputed Reid’s suspicions)

I was literally asking if there’s any side effect to being tested.

It's certainly a hassle, that's by design. At least it's pathetically easy to beat.

There's no way in hell the NFL has some auto generated script like some nerd would come up with.
