Bulls tied for the #1 seed. Easier schedule remaining than Boston, plus their sole remaining head-to-head match is in Chicago.

Let's go.

Just to restate.

I'd put Rose #1, but am very OK with either Dwight or Dirk getting the award.

After those 3, I think Labron is likely the best candidate, but would strongly prefer any of the others get it instead of him. Of those, I lean towards Rose, and if the Bulls get the #1 seed, I lean in his direction even more.

TZ current GOAT NBA coach rankings.

1. Thibs
2. Pop
3. Phil
4. Red
5 or 32. Larry Brown

Got almost all the way caught up on Archer tonight. Still behind on Chopped.
03-13-2011 , 01:37 AM
I'd note for everyone's benefit, I have both Labron and Wade on one of my fantasy teams, and those two will lead me to victory over KidPColin this coming week. So I don't hate them too much. Wade playing like AI is good for me, and Bron is gonna GOAT2, so he'll get his. Sorry Pilgrims, you had a nice little run. Time to step aside and let the Bethlehem/Allston grudge match happen as Bron looks to defeat the team that originally traded him.

Has any player this year fallen more in TZ's estimation than Rondo?
03-13-2011 , 01:41 AM
Brook Lopez? Bosh ldo
03-13-2011 , 01:43 AM
Yeah it's pretty close between Bosh and Rondo. I can't speak for everyone, but I'd say that Bosh is more capable of getting back to form than Rondo is. It's only going to get worse for Rondo going forward too when the Big 3 eventually leave.

Brook's a good call, though I think most of us were always skeptical of him. Bosh on the other hand, we all knew was a pussy. Rondo was embraced once he paid his dues.

Even Bobbo has sold Rondo out. That's harsh, man.
03-13-2011 , 01:45 AM
I love how no one has jumped to Dirk's defense in this whole MVP charade. Like, both sides are cool with HGH. One side is cool with Rose, the other cool with Bron. But no one wants to carry Dirk's torch.
03-13-2011 , 01:47 AM
Lesser candidates:

Gerald Wallace- this is due to mostly not being very good for most of the year
Joe Johnson
Corey Maggette- some of it's probably being held back, but I think a lot of people thought he would help push the Bucks to be even better
Nic Batum
Carl Landry
03-13-2011 , 01:47 AM
Alright, for the 2nd time in TZ, it's an open ask Clarky session for as long as I care to fight off the sleepy.
03-13-2011 , 01:48 AM
Yeah, Batum has really fallen off the map and was like a high "NBA xxxx draft" guy.
03-13-2011 , 01:51 AM
Darren Collison.
03-13-2011 , 01:52 AM
Ooooh good one. It's like teams can adjust and it's not a cinch that role player stats or fill-in-briefly-for-hurt-starter stats can't be counted on as a predictor!

Ask Clarky is closed. Sleepy coming on strong.

What's the deal with the vibrator thread? Is there wisdom I'm lacking or something I'm doing wrong that I thought that thread was kinda weird?

edit: rigged
03-13-2011 , 01:54 AM
with all the spotlight on rose and his stellar mvp campaign got a feeling kg and shaq and the other guys might be able to sneak in and steal one in chicago.

Tyreke Evans.

Hasheem Thabeet (Bobbo only division)

Ah, good question.

I thought it was odd that at my age and with a reasonable amount of experience I hadn't heard of it til just a few months ago, then suddenly a flurry of references happened in a short period of time. So, I thought I'd throw it out there and see what others thought and/or had experienced with it. Bought one for wife just for kicks due to the many recommendations, was a success.

i mentioned dirk a bunch of times. esp in reference to ppl trying to argue that narrow, contorted and downright cute definition of mvp that make rose appealing.
03-13-2011 , 01:57 AM
I think Reke was (rightly) hated on by a bunch of TZers. However, his stats recovered nicely in the month+ before he got put up on the shelf. I think it's a mistake to think he was a rookie fluke, but as you know, I own him in 2 of 3 fantasy leagues i'm in, so mebbe biased.

So, assuming Bulls get the #1 seed, you feel confident in the Celtics ability to beat the Heat?
03-13-2011 , 02:00 AM
Jason Richardson has definitely slipped a decent amount in most people's eyes.

Who are the answers to the opposite of this question? Hard pressed to find a more deserving answer than LMA or Rose.
