NBA Season Thread 2010-2011 NBA Season Thread 2010-2011

It's awesome that TZ has become the foundation to right the writers wrongs about Kobe. It never gets old.

You know it's not just something like this I'm talking about. If it were just that or loling at the Lakers/Kobe in game threads it wouldn't be that bad at all. Hell, the latter is one of the great SE past times.

A/ways, it's not something I'm going to get all butthurt about and start reporting posts or anything because the internet is not serious business, it's just tiring as a Laker fan to open up the thread and constantly see the same stuff over and over about how Kobe sucks/is so unclutch/etc etc.

It's important to remember: People don't hate Kobe as much as they hate hearing everyone undeservingly suck him off.
No doubt, I understand this. On the flip side I actually defended Labron for the first time ever when droolers started spewing verbal diarrhea when he went to Miami and it became apparent they wouldn't just win 70 games and cakewalk the whole season. So I get where you're coming from there.

Also, I can never spell diarrhea right on the first try, and I'm decent at spelling. Two R's and an H, really?

This sick thing is he's still a solid all star.... Couple years from now things could get ugly with him just relentlessy chucking and costing his team

Bynum demands trade cus Kobe won't give him the rock

I just can't get on board this Rose for MVP bandwagon at all, when his whole argument (team success) is pretty much negated by the on/off numbers. This would be my MVP ballot right now:

1. Dwight Howard
2. LeBron James
3. Chris Paul
4. Dirk Nowitzki
5. Dwyane Wade

Yes, I think LeBron and Wade are BOTH more valuable than Rose. They're getting credit for playing with a superstar in Bosh, but the fact is that Bosh hasn't played remotely like a superstar all season, and some of their role players are all-time levels of bad. Take LeBron and D-Wade off the Heat, they're probably sitting with ~15 wins right now.

Standard. It happened last week too when Bynum and Gasol were, again, the ones who clearly dominated the game.

Are you serious? He's making a valid point. I do no hate Kobe by any means, but it's quite tiresome to see the headline, "Kobe Bryant leads the Lakers to victory over <insert team>" and then you check the box score and he's 8-22 with 4 turnovers and 2 assists. Meanwhile Bynum and Gasol combine for around 45-50 points, 20-30 rebounds, and 9 assists with fewer turnovers and a far better shooting percentage. This happens over and over and over. No matter how horrible he plays the media still ballwashes him.
03-13-2011 , 11:03 AM
ya I don't even know how Kobe is still in the league

No, they're getting credit for playing with each other. The fact that they're both in your top five should make you realize that it would be realize hard for one of them to be the most valuable player in the league.

Simply not true. In the first week of the season this was true but they've added a bunch of positive role players who have all contributed to winning teams before.

Nobody disputed their the 2MVP. It's an individual award though afaik.

The Kobe hating and LeBron slurping has reached new levels of pathetic lately itt.
03-13-2011 , 11:22 AM
kobe hate is stale. kobe haters and eyescrew deserve each other.
03-13-2011 , 11:33 AM
lol at any kind of Lebron slurping itt this year, check the thread after every Heat loss (like next week after they lose to the spurs).

Also, it's pretty much BS that Bynum and Gasol routinely combine for 45-50 points, Bynum had a season high 20 points yesterday.

I like this, but think it makes too much sense for the MVP voters. I feel like Rose is getting too much hype not to win at this point, unless the Bulls fall hard the next few weeks.

So are you bitching about people LOLing at Kobe when he sucks, or aren't you?

I think at this point you're just bitching because you're annoyed at LOL Kobe, and you're annoyed at Thayer, so when Thayer did some (deserved) LOLing you got pretty upset.

Depends on your definition of valuable, etc, we've covered this before, right?

Meh, Erick Dampier and Juwan Howard both suck, even though they're each better than Joel Anthony.

I haven't looked and honestly don't care to spend time researching. I'd assume Jordan in many of those years based on the timeframes.

Fearlessness

I think Monroe is getting to become the safer pick. If I had a franchise that was destitute and needed a grand slam to get back on track I'd take Cousins, but for a team with any sort of foundation in place...why risk it.

Haven't seen it

Worried? That's odd. As I explained late last night, it was merely a curiosity that it came up in several conversations. Apparently I haven't watched enough pr0n in my day. Anyways, I thought it would be good to post since the rimming thread was up at the time. It's interesting to see just how many uptight 20-somethings there are in OOT. I enjoy the candid sex threads because of the "ewwww" freakout factor of the young'uns.

They're both better than Rose, I'd agree with that.

IMO a huge part of Bosh sucking is due to Wade and Labron, with an assist from their coach. Well, there's always Bosh's inner sissy to deal with too, I'll grant that.

Their role players are fine. Certainly "good enough" that this team should be favored to win it all.
03-13-2011 , 12:33 PM
Bosh sucking has a lot to do with him purposely losing weight

You can't blame the 2 MVPs for that
03-13-2011 , 12:46 PM

: /

I think the quality of the thread gets worse and that it would be better if the repetitive Kobe hate stayed mostly in game threads. I'm also not going to keep whining about it or make a big deal if/when it stays the same because again, it is just the internet. I ain't mad at cha.

I got pretty upset? ****, I went and rubbed one out to those posts and had my girl make me a sandwich afterward. Might go for an encore depending on how good your next post is.
03-13-2011 , 12:52 PM
I vaguely remember that now. Yeah, that's pretty pimp.
03-13-2011 , 12:53 PM
Idk if g10 is a huge pussy or has the heart of a lion. looking back on old great memories like that do get my eyes watery sometimes.

I guess those emotions come with the territory of being the best fan an individual can be.
03-13-2011 , 12:57 PM
I can't wait until the Pistons are good again. I'll make bobbo's posting look like he's done a 10hr a week job. I'll up my game and rise up to be an elite level nba poster.
03-13-2011 , 01:04 PM
You're going to have 7 kids before the Pistons are good again
