use your head a little. it's not about 1st, 2nd, 3rd option. It's about how he's playing.

bosh's value last year came from playing around the basket. Higher % looks, drawing more doubles, getting more offensive rebounds. Now he's a jump shooting donk. Everyone itt thought the Heat were going to be better than they are because they expected Bosh to keep doing those things. If he were doing those things, they'd probably have the most wins right now. Whether it's as a 3rd option or 2nd option, the only thing stopping him from posting up, crashing glass, drawing attention in the lane, picking up easy finishes on Wade/LBJ drives, is Bosh.

If you think Bosh magically turns back into 2010 Bosh just because he's now 2nd in pecking order, then you'll have to show your work. Again, if that were to occur, it's a mark against Bosh, not Bron.

I knew I was right with Noah.

if by shoulder more offense, you mean bosh could shoot 12 jumpers instead of 9, then sure, I agree.

Speaking of coach Spo, if there's one thing he blew, it's the whole "just do what you do on offense." I don't like overly controlling coaches, but at the very least, if he really knew the game, he'd know Bosh's current shot selection is minimizing not just his individual value, but the team's efficiency to score in the half court as well.

Yeah, Assani has NOT looked good through all this. I was inclined to very much be a Coach Fisher apologist, but that's awful hard to do.

So turns out Chris Paul's concussion or whatever it was really knocked some sense into him. Can't remember the last time he put up a game like this. Vintage 08-09 CP3.

So would you say most of Bosh's value last year came from playing with or without the ball? If it's the latter then that's fine, but if it's the former there's a flaw in your thinking. Not saying Bosh couldn't be playing a lot better, just definitely not 2010 level Bosh.

Did you see the game? It's one of top 10 games of the year by anyone, nevermind anything he's done since his knee injury.

I gotta say, this is pretty rich coming from the guy who spent the last week calling Wade AI.

But yes, Wade is better than the 2nd best Bull. It's a direct logical consequence of him being better than the 1st best Bull!

I was wondering when someone would make the latter point. If you took LBJ away, they'd be a worse team than if you took Wade away, but it wouldn't be by a massive amount.

artdogg,

I feel like you're being purposely obtuse just to argue. I'm not arguing he should be some 20/10 guy right now. I'm saying he should be doing the same things that made him effective. Obv a lot of Bosh's value to the raps was high usage scoring. On the inside.

It's not even like he's low usage now. He's probably the highest usage 3rd option of all time. His usage is down 5.4 points to ~23. He's got the same usage as Paul Pierce, and more than any other Celtic. When accounting for FTs, he's getting between 3-4 less shots a game. We expected a Gasol-to-the-Lakers like season. Less touches, more efficient since some % of his touches should just be dunks. Instead, he's timid, not filling the lane, not getting offensive rebounds, and posting up way less. It's on him. And Spo. It's got **** to do with being a 3rd option.

He's taking jumpers because he's allowed to, just like he was in 2009.

This is pretty much the only reason I have Rose ahead of LeBron.

Performance from Denver tonight = the best ive seen a team play vs the Pistons this year.

i guess it depends on your criteria for for "massive" but at least 10 wins is enough to qualify for me.

JR Smith confirmed best player in the NBA
03-13-2011 , 12:11 AM
LOL @ JR Smith taking a 3 at the buzzer in a 30 point game. I love him.
03-13-2011 , 12:26 AM
I think Gallo and Aflalo are both coming back for their road trip, so like maybe Monday? I like how they've been doing without two of their biggest weapons, but I have a feeling you're about to see them come down to earth these next four games.
03-13-2011 , 12:31 AM
Already getting excited for an LA vs CHI finals!
03-13-2011 , 12:32 AM
NOH/ATL/ORL/MIA ain't too bad. They'd fair better at home, but they can beat Atl and NO, and play Orlando tough.
03-13-2011 , 12:48 AM
man crazy game from paul, but yet another nice game from buckets. landry was pretty good too i guess
